Offaly map
That's very interesting. If its to scale, Killeigh parish is without doubt the largest parish by area.
I've two queries:-
1. What's the story with Clara? It appears to be marked Horseleap.
2. I'm not entirely convinced with those boundaries in the south of the county. The area marked Roscomroe seems to be Kinnitty parish. I thought Roscomroe was in Coolderry parish. Would it be the way that Kinnitty/Cadamstown is the northern part of that area marked "Roscomroe" on that map with the southern part of that area together with the areas marked Kilcolman and Aghancon forming Coolderry parish?
I might be wrong though. Kinnittyman or Treasurer might confirm. How near to Roscrea town is the southern end of Kinnitty parish?

Re: Offaly map
Usually it would be referred to as Clara parish. I would have guessed that Horseleap folk refer to it as that also? The area marked is correct.Plain of the Herbs wrote: 1. What's the story with Clara? It appears to be marked Horseleap.

At least you can't accuse them of bandwagonning - it's not exactly jumping on board at the height of the club's success.beirut wrote:Drumcullen looks set to be called 'Eglish & Drumcullen' after this years AGM. Alot of people from the Eglish part of the Parish were unhappy that they were getting no recognition.
Just looking at the map, I never realised how big the area is. You were saying earlier about setting up a football club in the parish - right now who would ye kick a ball with if ye were so inclined?
