It's a separate competition. Has no relevance to offaly competition. Clodaigh gaels used 1 sub and had their manager down as a sub.
If lads were allowed play then surely 10-15 mins yesterday wouldn't done them much harm for today? A (now) senior team togging out their 45 yr old manager wouldn't inspire you with confidence about depth of talent there.
Think Clodiagh Gaels are entitled to approach both games as they see fit. But could the County Board not have helped them in terms of the junior final? A midweek fixture next week surely?
It’s very hard to tell a junior lad that has been training all year as much as the seniors that some of their best could have to play some part of a game the day before a county final. If the main junior forward was brought on yday, got a slap and is quiet today, that’ll be disastrous for their chances of winning.
Personally don’t see an issue with how they approached it and feel that they could have been given some bit of a hand by the powers that be.

Could've easily been played tomorrow, Dublin final was a week day under lights. Nothing wrong with that.
Do you know any players?
No player wants to play a county final on a bank holiday Monday - sitting around all weekend waiting to play. Go to Killeigh or Banagher tonight and ask if any of them would have rathered that

What Dublin final was on a week day?
At least three senior county finals have been played on a Wednesday night in the past in parnell Park.
Forget about midweek. Play next weekend.

Ah, there’s the important part - ‘in the past’.
They were probably forced to do so due to the condensed season with provincials approaching.
Again, ask any player from CG if they would have rathered play it yesterday or on a week night this week - I know exactly what they’ll say.

looked at dublin county final and kilkenny county finals people say offaly county final was poor but them two were worse.
Sometimes people think a blowout county final is poor. However often the reality is there is a really quality side playing. I thought some of Kilmacud’s hurling was of a really high standard regardless of opposition. A very athletic team as per the norm for Dublin clubs. They, rather than Ballyhale, are the team to beat in Leinster.
Tullamore messed up that junior championship and other teams suffered the consequences.
I wonder did they have the senior player for the junior quarter final game as well.
Kilmacud looked unreal. It was a one sided final in the finish up but the quality of hurling was way better than the offaly final, but it all depends who you are up against.
I don't know how good cuala were but they did beat na fianna.

Obviously it was in the past, but you can be sure it will happen also in the future too.
End of the day, something should have been done to help at least give leinster a proper shot.
I like Leinster club competitions, I really enjoy going to the games and seeing different club teams from around the province - but absolutely not, there is no way that our own domestic club championships, which are the bread and butter competitions for all our players, should be discommoded to suit Leinster games.
Ten panels of players, so probably between 200 and 250 players, hurled for the year and their primary target was the Offaly Junior Championship. To play the final really late in the year in winter conditions, or to play it under lights on a midweek night, would be an insult to all of them
Kevin Egan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.
