I hear Joe Maher and Ronan Maguire are going back now that rafferty is gone. Plus I'd imagine David Dunican the goalie and the Corcoran chap would aslo return because George would have trained nearly all them lads on that team at underage level and even David with Offaly minor teams.

A good management team that all the players obvioulsy have won under before with the addition of some Key players returning. Bourke gone to Australia. I'd have them as favourites. Albeit a very very early prediction.

Just reposting this before the County Final this weekend. I made the prediction Ferbane would win the county final (last Decemberish) with 5/6 players returning under George Digan. I was kind of laughed off at the time and informed that those players would bring nothing only problems if they did return.
Although a ball is yet to be kicked in the final, just bringing back up the receipts here before the final because here we are with Ferbane & Tullamore in a final & Ferbane in my opinion looking like they have their strongest panel to finally get over the line.
So time will tell if I'm 100% right with my prediction but I definitely should not have been laughed off at the time.

Admittedly maybe my most petty post but had to have my point proven :D

For a supposed "Durrow" man, you seem to spend all your time posting about Ferbane.

For the record, you named 4 players. 3 of which haven't featured for a solitary minute at senior.

Admittedly, as a PROUD DURROW MAN, I have developed a soft spot for Ferbane who I see as the only team capable of beating my noisy Tullamore neighbours. But I can assure you if Ferbane were playing Durrow there’s only one team I’d be supporting!!

Secondly, I’m big into my club football in Offaly and I know Ferbane has gained about 5/6 to the squad since last year, as well as a good group of minors.
And yes maybe only 2/3 featured in senior championship teams, but it is the strength of a squad that propels teams to win championships and I firmly believe this. Ferbane’s intermediates were strong this year and I have no doubt that wouldve pushed on seniors, competition for places would be through the roof and just a general high standard environment.

Look at Tullamore as prime examples. Michael Brazil gets injured, Davin Keegan seemlessly fills in at midfield as if nothing changed.
Do not underestimate this.
