To add to that list Kinnitty won Junior A in 1966 and Senior in 1967. There was no Intermediate grade at that time.

They already have an intermediate team so they can’t actually go up.
Although many in the club would tell you that the Junior A side is almost as good as the intermediates, plenty lads held themselves back to play junior.

Ballyskenagh won Junior in 1994 and Intermediate a year later.
Carrig did likewise in 1995 and '96 respectively.
Tellamore won Intermediate in 1989 and Senior B a year later.

Did ferbane hurling club do similar winning consecutive titles in the 80s?

Edenderry won Junior hurling in 1962 and then Intermediate in 1963.

St Rynagh’s gave it everything they had. Just ran out of legs. Can hold their heads up high.

Adam Screeney’s availability was the winning of the game for K/K. Generational talent.

K/K have unquestionably regressed under Declan Laffan’s management. Compare their performances at the moment to their 2024 tour de force season.

K/K have selection issues ahead of them for the county final. Cillian Kiely’s position is under threat after an excellent cameo from Jack Screeney. As is Damien Kilmartin’s after a breakout performance from Brian Guinan.

Ter Guinan winning the duel with Shane Rigney really robbed St Rynagh’s of a source of direct running and scores.

5th county final in a row for KK is hardly ‘unquestionably regressed’! They’re missing the countys best forward and also their captain who has been in flying form in recent years. I think any team missing those two would struggle so I think it’s a credit to their strength in depth that they’re able to still qualify for the final. Hand is turning into a serious forward. I agree Jack S was superb when introduced. Conor Mahon was excellent especially in second half.

Not so sure it's only between Adam Kinahan and Brian Gavin as to who referees the county final? Adam referees the Intermediate final today so that might be his final for this year. Maybe it's Kieran Dooleys turn again. Just a question that's running around in my head after yesterday. One of Shane Guinan's umpires is father-in-law of Ben Connerly....should that be allowed in championship hurlin

God you would feel sorry for belmont. Just can't get past a semi-final. Should be a good final

Very disappointed for Belmont. Some amount of wides in the second half.

Best of luck to Ballinamere.

We were remarkably close to a Rynaghs/Belmont final.

Instead, the starters favourites pulled through.

KK the favourites, but Ballinamere can't be ruled out.

Think you might have got the wrong Dolan brother there. Unless there was a change in the umpiring lineup yesterday.

Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

Senior b going to be a very difficult championship to win in 2027 with clareen failing to get back to senior A.
Lusma coming back down, shamrocks who very convincingly won their q final, semi and final yesterday will all be vying to win it out. Also with clara and carrig who would see themselves as potential winners.

Bad weekend for clareen with all 3 teams getting beaten. They are going with a young team at senior B which is fair enough as the older lads can't go on for ever. That lack of experience or older heads so to speak probably cost them in the last 10 minutes on Saturday.

Belmont have a truly remarkable record over the last decade. 7 semi final defeats. The other 3 were group stage knockouts.

2017 - Lost SF to KK by 1 point
2018 - Lost SF to Coolderry by 1 point
2019 - Lost SF to Rynaghs by 2 points
2020 - Lost SF to KK by 4 points
2022 - Lost SF to Shinrone by 1 point
2025 - Lost SF to Shinrone by 8 points
2026 - Lost SF to Ballinamere by 2 points

It becomes all the more remarkable when you consider the fact a lot of these same players have also lost 5 finals and 3 semis over the same period for Ferbane.
