A lot of recent experience, coached some of the best players of the past few seasons. Knows Leinster thru his time east of the Boyne Bridge.

He is going in with the cork hurlers

O'Neill is a supplementary coach, he's not best suited to being the main manager of a county team.

O'Neill lives in Cork. Packed in Galway football coaching role because of travel and Kerry offer. He prob has young family. Couldn't see him increasing his time commitments anywhere outside Munster as a manager. He'll have much better offers than Offaly footballers too - and more likely to go into a coaching role.

Any more news on Micky Graham story?

We could do with
Billy Graham 😂😂
He is dead a few years but a great motivational speech at half time
Also against the drink
Maybe Brian Carroll can arrange it 😂😂

Yea, apparently there was bit of fall out with some band members and mental health took a bit of a hit, but I'm led to believe he has turned the corner and is on the right path again. He was back on stage for recent reunion concert im reliably informed, so he could be an option for manager.....

Kerry katona in as head physio.

Not sure Shane Lynch would be too enamoured if left out, though could be earmarked for kitman or logistics role. Most important is that they get players and supporters working together no matter what, so that when the going gets tough, they are all going in one direction.

Can confirm Duffy was spotted in the Marquee in J.J Killeen's recently.

Rumour is it was for talks but he broke out into song and cleared the tent faster than a fire alarm.

Mike Solan from Mayo new manager with Joe Keane (Mayo) and Nigel Dunne backroom team, what do we think of this appointment lads? at least the local knowledge will be there with Nigel involved.

His profile is decent.
Has worked in Mayo, but also has a flavour for working in counties a Division below us with Longford and Leitrim.
That helps, in smaller counties you need to cut your cloth with playing resources and financial resources.

Joe Keane is experienced also. I think Nigel Dunne has potentially a lot to offer. Interestingly Nigel sometimes fell foul of managers wielding the big stick in the past.
So he should be well placed to maintain diplomacy.

Underwhelming is the word that comes to mind.

Underwhelming is certainly the word that comes to mind.

It seems more of a middle-of-the-road, steady, as she goes type of appointment.

I don't see much ambition behind this. I'd be shocked if we're not still in division 3 when his term ends in 3 years.

One wonders where all the expense that was splashed on Harte has gone as I can't imagine this appointment is costing half of what Harte did.

Maybe the management committee are hoping the Ballaghadereen/Andy Moran connection will rub off on Offaly. Wishful thinking if so.

I doubt too many players who weren't on the panel this year will be jumping for joy at this news and throwing their hands up to return.

But, only time will tell. I wish him well.
