Re: Club Football 2026
Anyone at the tullamore game last night. Reading the report suggests Tullamore had more gears to use if needed. Just done enough
Re: Club Football 2026
Tullamore very rusty sloppy mistakes haven’t played a match in 4 weeks was very evident . A good few players only coming back from injury short 6 from starting team in the county final plus Nigel bracken.
Best for Tullamore were Ciaran Burns Patrick Kenna Niall Furlong Diarmuid Egan and Mike Fox
Shamrocks are decent tho David o Rourke very impressive hopefully he goes in with Offaly defo should be asked anyway. Jack Bryant started off on fire but then Declan Hogan tightened up and Jack had to go out the field for ball.
Ferbane should win today after getting a game under their belt
Clara and clonbolugue will be very tight

Re: Club Football 2026
Will the Shamrocks cause an upset in September? Or can Ferbane pull it together to take it. Shamrocks still think they will go straight to semi-final with win over Ferbane in last round. And avoid tullamore until the final. I just hope our boys dont leave tullamore broken this evening
Re: Club Football 2026
Can’t see shamrocks causing an upset tbh Ferbane Tullamore and probably Rhode will beat them in a knockout game
I can’t see them finishing in the top 2 either so will face probably a Ferbane Tullamore in the semi final but look ya never know while they have improved I still think they are a bit off it. Like Tullamore started without 6 from the starting team in the county final plus Nigel bracken and still won comfortably enough.

Re: Club Football 2026
How many of the six tullamore were missing will be back on the team? Cillian Bourke in Australia, John Furlong injured, goalie seems to be gone. Oisin Keenan Martin will make his way back on to team, Liam Dillane and Ben Heffernan might struggle to get ahead of who's there at the minute.
Tullamore impressive after a shaky enough start and missed penalty was a big turning point. Shamrocks improving and will have a big say in championship yet.

Re: Club Football 2026
Tullamore were missing ( who will actually play this year)
John furlong, Nigel bracken,
Dillane and Heffernan squad players and oisin keenan martin came on ,
Shamrocks were missing, Alan Heffernan, David o toole, Gary Hutchinson, patrick dunican, that young egan chap the 20 hurler and the young Bates lads feom 20 football team
All that being said tullamore will still win championship and ferbane will run them close again,
Any view on edenderry v ferbane later?

Re: Club Football 2026
Depends on which Edenderry turn up. If they perform like they did in first 2 games, Ferbane will give them a beating as they need to get points on board after Rhode loss.
If Edenderry somehow managed to sort themselves out in last 2 weeks, and their county players play to form, no reason why they can't put it up to Ferbane.
Still expect Ferbane to win with a bit to spare but could be an awkward game for them to get up for, and a loss here would probably put them out of the championship. They would then need at least 3 points in last 2 games against Tullamore and Shamrocks.
A win for Ferbane means Edenderry are gone and all that's left to be decided in strong group is who goes straight to semi's.

8 championship games to be played yesterday 4 walkover giving. What's going on? It's only the end of July and clubs already can't field teams

Re: Club Football 2026
Durrow couldn’t field a first team last year, hard to know how they thought they could field a 2nd team this year.
Not really enough interest in the town of Edenderry to field 3 teams every year.
Kinnitty and Seir Kieran were never likely to field teams even though they entered.

Re: Club Football 2026
Some teams clearly more concerned about the hurling,
What clubs genuinely are giving it 100% at both codes at senior
Ferbane/, Belmont
Tullamore
Clara
Shamrocks
All do
Kk, ballinamere , kinitty , rynaghs , birr, edenderry ?
Don't
Other than senior
Ballycumber / brosna geals
Erin rovers "
Do
BSK , graceField? Clodiagh Gaels don't

What a bullshit post.
What the fcuk are Rhode doing for hurling?

Re: Club Football 2026
Fair enough with the Junior C, but games should not be walkovers in any other division. Only 1 out of 4 games played in Junior B, which has thrown the group into disarray. Group 2 has Gracefield who have won one and lost one despite not kicking a ball. Edenderry are a joke if they can’t field a 3rd team. They won the Junior C last year and their Senior and Intermediate teams have a lot of crossover with the panel, but surely there is 15 lads who are in their later years of football are surely able to tog out.
Durrow just writing off Junior A is another joke. It’s becoming a shambles in the lower championships and making the competition redundant.

If Brosna Gaels and Shamrocks took hurling seriously, they should be established senior b sides.
Re: Club Football 2026
You must be stupid because you can't seem to read properly where did I say in my post that
These teams are taking it seriously I said
Quote
"Some teams clearly more concerned about hurling" see the word there used is "some"
Then I asked the question witch teams take both a 100%
And listed some of the dual clubs at senior and other grades
You might have missed the bit where it was a question and I made a suggestion on some teams
See how serious kk took the intermediate football this morning they averaged 1 PT every 10 mins of play
You don't have to like what I post or my views but you could reply respectfully or is that too much to expect
