It always interests me how team information is leaked. Not having a go at anyone who posts them here in anyway, but I always wonder about the camp when the team gets out.

I would like to see N Furlong, H Plunkett and even R Gallagher. I don’t understand how Gallagher could be deemed worthy of game-time in the league last year when we had a mainly fully fit squad and now this year, with Bryant, Hyland, Tierney, etc all gone, he hasn’t got a run. Going off reports alone, it appears he had a good championship. People will say Senior B is a very different level to Senior A, which is fair, it is. Our imports continue to get a run, despite showing very little. Maybe they are going very well in training, but they haven’t shown it in matches yet.

Seeing as we have a near chance of survival still, this is probably the team which the management deem to be closest to our championship team of those who are fit. I would love to see a win tomorrow, it really doesn’t matter how it is got.

Leaks will always happen, especially from a sub who's not being paid to be there so won't feel any loyalty to anyone in that regard....especially when it's not high high level stuff a player will tell one friend of family member and we know how that goes

This is a very very poor cavan team, make no mistake about that, this is the perfect team for us to play right now, especially in Tullamore, cavan are on a down word slope lately, i think with results today offaly have a right good chance of staying up with kildare having a tough last game to come up. I would expect us to win tomorrow by about 4 or 5 points which would make for a great finish to the league. Hopefully meath bring there junior team with them now already qualified. I hope with the win tomorrow will get the lads moving and abit of confidence in the camp.

Great to see some positivity , tomorrow we have a chance of course but being realistic it's just so hard to see us get anything off meath unless they literally brought a second team to do us a favour....our goalkeeping coach would hardly pull some strings for us would he ...if beat went full strength they could really give us a proper hiding

Meath are absolutely not qualified.

Points difference decides the standings when it's 3 or more teams on the same amount of point.

They have to win in Tullamore next week to guarantee promotion.

Top 2 go through, offaly will know that a win against meath at home on the last day will probably keep them up, we would of all settled for that a while back. 3/1 for offaly tomorrow is very good odds, I have seen almost all cavan games this year,I have family there and they are very poor. Cavan are at best a mid table division 3 team at present

I'm explaining that they are not already qualified as you seem to think they are. They have to beat Offaly on the last day to guarantee that.

They're on 10 points and will remain on 10 points if they lose to Offaly. There are 4 teams that can end up on 10 points and Meath would possibly lose out if they lost to us next week.

Simply, win today and we have a chance. Lose or draw and we are gone.

Cork did us a favour last night and I’ve a feeling Louth will do the same against Kildare.

Two wins and we are safe.

Very disappointed in the result today, first half especially last 10 or 15 minutes we were very poor, much better in second half but I don't know if that was us or cavan thought it was going to be an easy 2nd half with wind and with how poor we were in first half, or a mixture of both. We had Tierney and hyland back so we need stop using the old injury excuse. I stated before hand cavan are a mid division 3 team and before I'm contradicted on that I have seen almost all of cavan games over the last 2 year I have family there. Loosing six games in a row can not be excused and a minus score difference of 53 the lowest in all the leagues. I really thought we would win by 5 or 6 today, I'm going to take positives out of it though with our 2nd half performance, I hope we can give meath a good rattle next week, unfortunately if we can't beat Cavan we won't beat meath. We were all confident going into today's game we were talking about our chances against meath next week. Great to see Hyland and Tierney back it should give the lads a boost. Back to division 3 we go. Can I ask where do people believe we have made progress in the last 3/4 year when you consider we are back exactly where we were back then? Genuine question

Seems nuts to me that given the trajectory of both teams over the course of the past 5 years that folk thought Offaly had Cavans number today

Especially considering how closely Cavans games with cork meath and kildare were

Genuine question back, how did you estimate this Cavan team is "a very poor team"...they were very unlucky to lose their first two games..we were over all soundly beaten in all our games except today...Cavan to me would be not Division 3 team, we have been that division 3 team steady (and lower) over many many years..we were unlucky today, but posters yesterday assuming the result and looking ahead to our last game V Meath, like come on..I didnt get on here all week but genuinely felt Cavan would score more than us today (not necessarily play that much better) but couldn't see how their forwards were any worse than ours, anyone that knows and follows football can see the names they have consistently there and scoring too..it is now as it is..Tierney and Hyland made a huge impact today for Offaly to be fair..

Crushing result unfortunately. Proud of the way the team battled in the 2nd half. They played with a lot more composure against the wind, retained and moved the ball well and kept in front for most of the half.

It must be said that the first half was very poor. There was a lot of aimless kicking, general lethargy, loose defense on the counter attack.

Couldn't fault the effort of anyone in the 2nd half. O'Neill was immense at times, especially those 2 driven points against the wind. We wasted a couple of very good chances to push 6 points clear at pivotal times by dropping the ball short.

The goals were obviously both disastrous, young keeper, not generally first choice, shit happens, no point dwelling on it now it's done.

From what I could see, the winning 2 pointer possibly was over the bar, despite the strong protestations.

These group of players are been hamstrung by this MGT team it’s not right what’s going on.
The persistence in playing a player from Dublin who from what iv seen is a very average club player over Harry Plunkett a proven scorer and one of the players we posses who can kick from distance is gone beyond a joke now
How Marcus Dalton was dropped too after probably his best performance this year against Tyrone.
Make no mistake about it either these 2 lads were dropped.
In such a tight match those 2 players alone could and probably would have gotten us over the line if they were started

Hugely disappointed to lose a game that we would have been full value for the win had we held on. Ultimately it was the last ten minutes before half time that cost us the game. We were 5 points up and had we pushed on we could have had a 7-8 point half time cushion.

I think everyone thought we were goosed at half time but credit to them, they put in a huge performance.

Hyland was immense and Tierney and Dalton made a big difference when they came on. I thought Jack McEvoy and Leavy were much stronger in the second half - contesting and winning kick outs and Jack turned over a bit of ball too.

Keith came into it in the second half too after a quiet first half and kicked 2 good scores. The goals were disappointing but these things are always likely to happen with a goalie that is on the smaller side. But it’s a prime example of the loss of paddy Dunican. Had we paddy today we’d have won and that’s not meant as a go at Conor Melia as I think he’s a fantastic footballer.

I understand that all of the lads out injured are back doing light training, so hopefully we’ll have a few more available for the Laois game.
