Edenderry mite not be as strong next year and will probably be very young with a raft of retirements and lads travelling but Adrian Farrell will get the best out of what he will have.
Georgie Digan was always gonna take the Ferbane job at some stage obviously rated in Ferbane but haven come across him when he Offaly minor manager I wouldn’t be so sure but that’s a good few yrs ago and he has probably learned a lot in Sallins.
Ger Rafferty is a hard act to follow he was very close to winning championships.
With all the appointments it’s still very hard see beyond Tullamore Ferbane again been the 2 top dogs. From the chasing pack maybe Shamrocks look best equipped to mount a challenge
Adrian Farrell?? Manager with Offaly minors too. A lot on one mans plate. Also has a young family from what I recall. He is a local man to Edenderry too am i right in saying??

Think all the club managers have been sewn up now ? Cake is supposed to be taking over us last I heard.

Any additional members to background of Keelaghans set up in Rhode or any of big clubs Tullamore, Ferbane, Shamrocks, Edenderry. I heard Owen Carroll for example doing some S&C with Ferbane. Is Rochford staying with Tullamore?

As far as I'm aware from chatting a Durrow club man the cake ship has well and truly sailed. I heard off a Tullamore fella last night that Michael Duignan is in for the job now. Very strange if this is the case and can only imagine it would be a step back for Durrow. Duignan a sound fella as far as I know but experience managing a team is low especially on the football side. He seem to have issues with teams in the past too (Portumna). My opinion would be you fellas need someone with a wealth of experience to get the best out of them players.

I did hear Rochford is staying with Tullamore, Did he really add to the set up and value of the team??? Maybe next year will tell.

if Tullamore can keep Rochford it will be a good move for them overall, as I said last year, coaches and players can only but learn from him and it should have longer term benefits.
Lot of decent coaches working around him and bodes well for long term development of coaching overall in Tullamore.

Whats Tullamore's ceiling? They felt leinster and got trimmed. That can happen...they will probably win 4 in a row with or without Rochford ...others will learn off him yes but thst feels like a very loose positive spin on the situation.

Ferbane, not good enough to beat Tullamore unfortunately but can beat the rest, are they going to improve in 2026?
No management announced

Edenderry, the devastating second half will scare them for a long long time, one of the great collapses, always capable and always in with a shout, Adrian farrell if its true is taking them will know what he has , was with their 20s ,
No management announced

Rhode, they will come with a vengeance and a last kick mentality, always will PK lives and breathes Rhode, can they get another year out of their brilliant veterans. Possibly,

Shamrocks, decent team with nice players. Can they really break into top 4 ? Probably not.
No management announced

Ballycommon, dark horses to top group b , shane kelly has some nice players at his disposal , when rugby ends and they have everyone they are a good senior side

Durrow, if shane Curran is back they will undoubtedly improve, he will get a bounce
No management announced

Clara, Rouse in year 3 could take them deep into championship
Forwards need to be more ruthless

Bracknagh never back down , always willing, can beat anyone in that group on their day

Clonbologue, can't be as bad as last year, they will be far more competitive in section b
No management announced

Rochford has officially committed to Tullamore for 2026. Can only imagine it is a good move to have him in the mix for another year. Wealth of experience and knowledge from his side passed on is benefiting Tullamore you'd have to imagine.

The thousands they are paying him to win another county title (which they would win anyway) and then lose to a Dublin team in Leinster will definitely be worth it !

Tullamore will struggle without Burke in midfield. Don't get me wrong, still the ones to beat but a huge huge loss. Best fielder in the county gone for them

Ferbane will be there there abouts too. George Digan appointed as manager and from what I heard 5/6 players from last few seasons are returning so will be stronger than last year if anything.

Rhode are dangerous. Off an u20 win, Pascal over them and all platyers training from the start (none in with the county.) They'll be gunning for a title and could be the best bet in the bookies.

Edenderry. Just cant rely on them in the big days.

Shamrocks. Nigel over them. Between them and Edenderry I think for top 4 and to make it out of group in 4th.

(B GROUP) Cake not confirmed. I wouldn't be backing Durrow to come out of that group. I think Bracknagh are probably the best there with Ballycommon and Clara close behind. Clonbollogue could produce an upset here and there. Don't think any of these teams would beat anyone in the A unless maybe a Clara who wouldn't fear a Shamrocks or Edenderry in a quarter final.

Few interesting points here. Mostly from (B Group) do have to agree with most of the Group A standings. If it is the case that George Digan has 6/7 more players (Of senior football standard) at his disposal then it could make all the difference come the end of the year.

Like your point about Rhode.... I feel they will still be Semi finalist if not more depending. A lot of their lads on their last legs would be the only concern.

Group B I would say Ballycommon are the best in that group and could potentially be semi finalist if they get all right and have no major injuries, They will need to find someone to replace Ian Scally in goals as kickouts seemed to be a week spot when he left mid championship last year. Shane Kelly involved could get a good tune out of them.

Clara will be strong no doubt but do they have the ability for senior?? They have a tendency to blow hot and cold but I've no doubt they will do everything in their power to be firing on all cylinders.

Very interesting point you make about Durrow, Cake would have been a great appointment. Strange not to give him a chance at it again with no other management selected I take it. With the players Durrow have in the team making it out of the group should only be a step along the way in their yearly objective, reading between the lines and conversations had with lads the new Ballinamere management isn't going to help matters.

Bracknagh have some good players and should be looking at a quarter final also but last year they didn't seem to preform to their potential. Get things right they sure can make it out of that group. and id imagine that is their yearly goal.

Clonbollouge just going off last year they need to get discipline issues sorted. Once this is done I'm sure getting out of the group is a must. KON and Jack and a huge asset and on their day I'm not sure there is too many backs in group b that will be able to handle KON. (only my opinion before anyone takes the of me)

tullamore will be weaker without bourke obviously . leavy seems a better player when he has bourke beside him. midfield won last years final in my opinion. ferbanes players must be well scarred of losing finals, penalty shootouts etc. but if the hunger is still there and a few returning they must surely be very close to winning it. 3 pts up in last years final after 59 min. but another year. rhode will be buoyed by the the under 20s edenderry will surely improve...as will shamrocks.

Seems to be a bit of plucking at straws writing Tullamore off.
Bourke will be available for the knockout stages of the championship by what I have heard. Tullamore will have Luke Egan Aaron Hensey and Nigel bracken fit and back this year giving them more options I’d imagine a few of their senior b team will push to start too
Ferbane will defo be there or thereabouts again they are a Quality group . But as the previous poster said they were 3 points up in the 58 minute but only held that lead for maybe 2 mins before Tullamore 7 on the bounce.
Edenderry I believe are going really young this year with a view to a year or 2 down the line
Rhode while they will get a bit of a bounce from the u 20 4 starters and a couple of used subs on that team are Croghan players plus another 4 aren’t eligible to play senior till 2027 as they are u 18.
Shamrocks are the great unknown they always flatter to deceive and Nigel Dunne retired he’s a massive loss
Hopefully we have a competitive championship and the new format should add a bit of spice to the group stages
The second group there will be some really good games and picking any clear favourite will be difficult I expect Clara to be very competitive

Senior A probably the sides listed in the strong group, will feature again. Ferbane, can they mount another run to Senior Final..
Clara will be the best in the weaker group. All to come down the line.
