Joe Maher didn’t want to play under Rafferty under the best of my knowledge. But a county standard forward.

Ronan Mcguire was an Offaly u20 and always played senior football every year & was on the 2019 team that beat Rhode in the county final. ….and from my knowledge of word too, he was also pushed aside for Darragh Flynn when Rafferty came in because he had him with his own Offaly 20s team and preferred him. Can happen. A manager has his faves.

Leon Fox - transferred to Louth, but apparently wouldve done another year if a new management in place.

David Dunican - an Offaly u20 goalie. Hated Rafferty. And played intermediate all year under a different manager FYI.

John Dunican - a brother of David. Played senior championship in 2024 against us down in Ferbane. Also didn’t like Rafferty.

Jack Egan - unsure. But think he emigrated.

Conor Butler - another defender who hurled this year but not football.

Bernard Corcoran - not a consistent senior but definitely has been in and out of teams.

I mean, they all can’t be a problem in a dressing room. And how can you say if you add in all those players you’re not going to win a championship, adding in to what they already have.

Know your facts before you start spouting sh*t.
Pure nonsense again.....but sure will keep us entertained during the silly season I guess.

some amount of uniformed shit being posted here. joe maher didnt commit last year as is his right as an amateur. no fault of raff
leon fox gave great service and was a huge loss but he was well entitled to transfer to louth. again no fault of raff.

as for the rest of the players mentioned?they are non storys.

i cant see how ferbane can beat tullamore. 2024 the ref rode us. but 2025 tullamore won fair and square. cant see it improving in 2026.i hope im wrong. tullamores midfield are very strong.

Durrowboy and behindthegoal you sound like your both from ferbane, basing it on the detailed knowledge of the goings on in camp. Reveal your identities and meet in the heritage centre and throw a few handbags at each other and go on down to pitch and manage the team if yee think yee know it all.

Over and out JamesD

Ha ha, I am not from Ferbane and from what I have read here I am glad of that because clearly they don’t support or back their own players.

We mite struggle with football side of things but atleast would always back our own lads unlike Behindthegoal who is clearly Ferbane man

Durrowboy17 any update on management front yourselves. Was chatting a chap highly involved with the club said it seems players and being consulted on what mangers are available. Any truth in that?? If that is the case its madness IMO.

Have heard a name interested in the job from the same chap and can only imagine he'd be a good appointment.

No, we’re struggling to get anyone the last I heard.

Was chatting 2 players (would be mostly hurlers) at the weekend and said they cannot get anyone. Maybe that has changed but that’s the latest I heard.

It’s a tough job for whoever does end up with it. Yet there is talent there and if hurling did somehow fall by the wayside it could do well. The expectations wouldn’t be high either.
