Think this a genuinely good fixture list. 4 at home. 3 away. We wouldn’t expect to beat Tyrone or Derry and those games being away is totally fine. Kildare are familiar to us with 2/3 wins last year.

The home games are crucial. Yes Louth are Leinster winners but Harte knows them well. Meath are much improved since we beat them in 2023, but we should have beaten them in April.

Cavan and Cork are no world beaters. Yes we are underdogs and probably favourites to go down, but that’s as good a fixture list you could get.

Also all away games are Saturday evenings, and there’s two nice away days in consecutive Saturdays up North.

Genuinely a very good list.

Looking forward to the trips to Derry and Tyrone.
Next season league is probably the most important in a generation.
We have to aim for 3or 4 place .
Relegation would be disastrous. . We have the talent we have the management do we have the Mental strength.?
And hopefully some of the sideline squad will rise to the occasion..
Take care roll on January

Cillian Bourke going AFL with Melbourne based side Essendon.
Can't turn down a chance like that. He has developed unbelievably well the past few years and the nicest lad you'd meet aswell hopefully it goes well for him.

That's a blow to Offaly football but great news for the lad.....Any more on any other drop outs from last year ? Will Hogan be going back in ? Are the rumours on Flynn true? Dunican and Bourke are already serious blows

Leinster Senior Football Championship 2026 Round 1:

Offaly vs Laois in O’Connor Park.

Winners progress to play the flour bags.

Good draw. Winnable game, followed by winnable game.

Not that the Leinster SFC is the be all and end all these days, a couple of wins would be quickly forgotten if we did poorly in other competitions.

A great achievement for the young man. Can only wish him the very best with this opportunity.

Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

Cillian Bourke is a huge loss but we can’t begrudge him the chance of professional sport. I wish him absolutely all the best as he represents the Faithful Down Under.

We are all Essendon fans now 🔴⚫️

Looking forward to the league, we are down a few bodies judging by the above, however I do think that this is a long term project and yes mickey Harte might go in the next year or 2 but id imagine DK will want a few years after that on his own. He did 5 with 20s id imagine something similar with seniors. Great games to look forward to in 2026

The league is so important this year
The Leinster draw is definitely not the best but not the worst.
We have loss players but we do have enough to hopefully finish 4 th
And have a run in Sam
The players deserve it .
And maybe the fans .

If you think we are finishing 4th without Paddy dunican cathal flynn Kyle Higgins Cillian Bourke and possibly Hyland and Tierney who are still carrying groin injuries then you need to give your head a wobble we will be lucky to find a single win somewhere in my opinion I don’t see who we beat considering the players missing

I still think there is room
For it not be a disaster
It's not fair on the squad
Tulllamore progression
Could be a massive issue
