Ger Raff staying with Ferbane is a bad decison for them if true. He's been tried and tested for 3/4 years now and fell short. Some Key players won't play as long as he's there too I'm hearing, and there's no way Ferbane won't beat Tullamore without everyone. As the saying goes doing the same thing over and over again and expecting something different is insanity.

Nigel Dunne I can see giving another year of playing at some level for Shamrocks. Their Junior team is now Junior A so I think he'll play with them if not then progress onto the Senior Team. I know he's gone back to do PE teaching in college so may be a reason he can't commit to full time playing, as well as being older and having a family of course.

Unsure about Clonbollogue.

Egan another man who probably has overstayed his time at one club and probably should move on too. But atleast I suppose in his case, he won a few years there and brought them up back to back grades so probably has a bit more credability.

Any other manager appointments around the county football wise??

Rhode will probably stick with Keelaghan and Edenderry with Dalton.

Would be very surprised if Ger Rafferty stayed with Ferbane. Has done well with them and has came very close to getting over the line but feel it's time for a new voice to freshen things up.

I was surprised with Raff staying but is apparently the case and he has done a great job , very consistent and very unlucky
He had a huge turnover of players between 2024 and 2025 which makes the achievement all the more .

Dunne is 100% the senior manager next year and not playing. Fully retired. It's unusual in that his loss as a player is incredible. Im sure he will be well sought after as a manager now. Hes Getting an operation this month on knee. Confirmed by a shamrocks man today.

Egan with ballycommon is the best manager along with benny o brien in the last 4 years in club football in offaly??

Senior b managers anyone know anything

As a Durrow man hoping Tullamore would soon be beat I was hoping Ger Raff would go and they'd get a freshen up
Colin Kenny a big part to play in bringing on a lot of the new younger players onto the senior stage and making them able to compete at that level I've heard from many sources he's the man doing the good work there. I would well believe this info as I remember Colin at u21 level and underage and he was as good as ever I seen, but a heart problem curtailed his playing career unfortunately. It is good to hear he's still obviously having a big impact with his club though and maybe he is the one they should be giving the bainisteoir job too.

Can anyone confirm Nigl is definitely the manager? He did do work with Erin Rovers before and obviously the Minors last year too.

Padraig Egan has an excellent CV infairness.

Durrow still have no man as far as I'm aware and with the big appointment in the hurling, I can't imagine it's too attractive at the moment.

Raff has stood down and goes with all our heartfelt thanks for a 4 year stint that is covered in heartbreak. There was much hope in the last few weeks that he would go again, it probably is the natural end .The story is much more than that 3 county final defeats each as agonising as the next , sport is cruel.

Who is over Durrow next year, hard to attract a manager even though they have plenty of good players
