Wins for Birr and Coolderry

Was at the Birr game they made hard of work it after their first half performance but got over the line and probably deserved it over the full 60.

Tullamore very unlucky not to beat coolderry the missed chances killed them in the end but a decent year for them . Stephen Corcoran made 2 outstanding saves for coolderry and scored a point for them which was the difference in the game
Tullamore while not possessing the natural hurlers of others they are some battlers and Shane hand has made a huge difference to them

What has happened to Ballinamere?

They seem to have regressed enormously from last year.

Would it be fair to say Belmont have been the second best team throughout the group stages after KK?

Ballinamere look sapped of energy to be honest.

They subbed off a player today and subbed him back on again instead of using another sub. Doesn't say much for faith in the panel of players.

Morale looks low looking in from outside. I could be wrong but I'd imagine it's all stick and very little carrot in that set-up.

Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

Interesting to hear. I did feel that there’s only so much bawling and roaring a player could put up with from Niall Rigney and it seems by year 3 the novelty has certainly worn off. That sort of management has a very limited shelf life with any team.

Yet he brought them to a county final last year and they were exceptional all year and really only for a Conor Mahon/Adam Screeney tour de force they would have won a county final. And would have been deserving of it too.

So surely for 2025 a small tweak here or there could make all the difference?? Michael Duignan positioning himself as joint manager is not a small tweak.

What's the background to Kevin Mc Deemott nor playing for them this year?

Ballinamere look like a team that are devoid of confidence and that are afraid to express themselves.

A team with seven Offaly starters should not be losing a must win championship game to a team that has none, as happened today.

Different teams need different styles of management at different times. I have my doubts that what Ballinamere have on the line now is right for them.

I agree about bawling and shouting at players is outdated today, GAA players at all levels are well educated young men, and have no time for managers, who are unable to deliver their message clearly.

Why is Michael Duignan joint manager with Niall Rigney in 2025?

Kevin mcDermot fell out with rigney that's why he's not there. Not surprised though. How would any player listen to him roaring at you for an hour. That day is gone

Rigney texting and ringing some of his county men to give out stink about other players is never going to work.
Brought a young lad on as a sub in one of the early games.
His message to him was ‘just stay the f**k out of Brian Duignan’s way, if you get in his way we will take you off again’.
What our county captain supposedly did to Eoghan Cahill is absolutely disgusting, not his first offence either.

Our lads stumbled over the line against a very game Tullamore team.
If KK win today, it will be Coolderry v Shinrone and Ballinamere v Belmont.

The media and bookies have this Ballinamere team way over hyped. Yes they have 7 county players but have no panel depth. You wont win anything with 7 players, no matter how good they are. There underage teams have been very poor over the last few years. This Ballinamere team have won one knockout match in senior hurling, falling over the line in last year's semi final against a Rynaghs team who may be in a relegation final after today. Yesterday could have been a must win game but they came up short again. Belmont, KK or Shinrone should be favourites the beat them in a quarter final.
