Birr is closer than moneygall and dunkerrin villages to the Tipperary border
Tpp v Kilkenny
The money is only resting in my account
Semi final
Cork are the best by a mile

By around Birr, you mean carrig? Which is Tipperary.

Moneygall village is right on the county boundary, Moneygall GAA grounds are in Tipperary, the village is in Offaly. Birr town is wholly in Offaly, the border is a mile or so outside Birr, at the Little Brosna.

No I mean around the town, which means The Main Street, Castle Street, Pound Street, Banagher Road, Roscrea Road, Tullamore Road etc.

Birr: 4 all irelands
Every single Tipperary club combined: 3 all Irelands

I think Birr will be alright without a few future Tipp hurlers.

Who have Kork actually beaten this year?
(They won't be scoring seven goals on Sunday. They might not score any.)

Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

"Offaly's hurling is exact and abrasive: full of assurance on the ball, devoid of fumbling and slicing and sod-busting". Kevin Cashman RIP (September 1994).

In the Munster Round Robin Cork’s results were far from impressive.

They blew a commanding position to snatch a last second draw against a Clare team who’s season was somewhat of a shambles.

They beat a Tipperary team who had 14 men for the entire game and in sections of that game Tipperary totally dominated.

They got obliterated by Limerick.

They beat a Waterford team who are miles off being genuine championship contenders.

The Munster Final, while undoubtedly exciting, was distinctly average. If it was the Leinster Final the poor quality of it would have been highlighted in media outlets throughout the country. And remember Darragh O’Donovan should have won it for Limerick (a team on it’s last legs) with the last puck of the ball but his effort was anemic to say the least. In keeping with the entire game to be honest.

And then we had the turkey shoot of a semi-final against a team only marginally better than Offaly, and that got destroyed by the worst Galway team since the 1970’s. And don’t forget Dublin completely outplayed Cork in the 2nd quarter.

This final could be tighter than many people are suggesting. There’s no shortage of hurlers in Tipp.

Cork have the intangible though - momentum. Never underestimate it.
