They will be no easy pickings, time to stop that sort of shite talk now!! Antrim and the circumstances proved that there are no easy pickings for Offaly.
Well the same lad predicted an easy win for Offaly against Antrim, when the dogs on the street knew it would be tight.

If you're talking about me I didn't predict an easy win, I said in a general game we are a cut above Antrim(I stand by that) and should win easily and we did so in the league but in a game like that it's different and with the pressure of the game it would be different so.....?? Also we won by 5 points

Kildare v Dublin Hurling at 4 o’clock.
Kildare v Offaly Football at 6:30.

Not sure of the cross-code support in KE but getting into Newbridge is going to be a nightmare. Not sure if Conleth’s is going to be able for a 15k crowd
15,000????? Not a prayer.

Will they get half that?

Dublin would bring max 1,000. At a stretch.
Can’t see us topping 1,000 either.

So you expect 5,500 from Kildare? For a hurling game they are probably going to get hammered in (and they have a tiny hurling following) and a football game in a competition their supporters couldn’t care less about.

If this tops 7,500 I’d be shocked.
Will O’Callaghan has tweeted that this is heading for a sellout.

Frank, prepare to be shocked

Yeah, you were really warning us what a sticky fixture this was going to be.
Canter...

Antrim are awful and the idea that Davey is some lord and saviour and has written off the whole year and is gonna have a team ready to turn up and switch it on and beat an Offaly team who have gone to parnell and wexford park and been unlucky not to come away with results is nonsense. Sweet jesus have a bit of faith in the team and management. We'll win at a Canter by 8 or 9 points next weekend.

Half the team sick in the lead up to the game... you think that had no impact on the result? We won by 5, there was nothing sticky about it, could have and should have won by a lot more, we are way better than Antrim and they played a few years in leinster. Kildare will break records next year, they are the most limited team to ever come into leinster..

Is the football 100% not being streamed on anything, most of the tickets would have taken up by Kildare ,

Feel sorry for those who can't get tickets
It's bit shambolic really.
I have mine but I know people who go to games regularly as I do have none .( They even went to Waterford game I met them there )
The game should have not been a double header and if the capacity is not big enough move it a neutral venue.
Offaly gaa will not complain as they have the football game in tulllamore.
Money talks .

If money talks it would be at a bigger venue?

I used to hold a different view to this back in the day, but home advantage is home advantage, Kildare earned it, and if I was in their shoes, I'd want to maximise it as well, for both the hurlers and the footballers.

This is Offaly paying the price for not taking care of business against Laois, simple as that.

Double header only way to go. As stated kildare have earned the right to be at home. And hopefully the football crew will come in and support their hurlers.

How do we feel about today? We have the experience of beating them, which we hadn’t had in 19 years or so.

Lads are back in form.

Kildare are much improved since Flynn returned but we still have the runners and speed over them. Midfield has to improve though. When we have ball and control, we are dangerous and create lots of great scoring opportunities, but we need primary possession at the break or in the air.

Hoping to see Kyle Higgins drop in as a 3rd midfielder. Callum Bolton is a big loss for them.

Genuinely can’t call the game. Both teams can win it. Don’t be shocked to see extra time.

Hoping for a 2 point win.

Up the Faithful.

It will be a fair performance if we can win this.
Serious challenge with the depth of our panel.

Need to get a solid start, and get as much of a foothold and keep the pressure on Kildare as if they get into a flow, we will be in trouble as the pillow cases will have no problem getting behind them then.
]
A trimming for the hurlers mighnt do us any harm either.

Dublin will beat Kildare hurlers. A big challenge for Offaly footballers, to lower the Lilywhites in their new look ground. A good start is vital today..
The day will be a showery one.

It’s really a disgrace that this game is not on GAA plus today. Especially when they showed Tipperary and Laois when that was always going to be a very one sided affair!
