Wasn't at it, Cormac Egan and Dylan Hyland with injuries, hopefully not too bad? Keith O'Neill didn't feature at all due to injury.

Yeah look it wasn’t great but maybe it’s no harm. We always have a bad performance or two in the Tailteann against lower opposition, let’s hope it was today.

We’ve two weeks before the next game so hopefully that helps Cormac, Keith and Dylan get back 100%.

We are through, and Wicklow beat Laois this evening so even a draw would have us into the quarters instantly. You’d only be one game away from Croke Park then if we handle Laois.

Maybe a slow and steady run, with a peak towards the later end of the season suits us. Build up nicely and see where it takes us.

I’ll take the positives from today. Like the Leitrim game in league, it’s a struggle against a team we are heavy favourites against. We could’ve won by so much more, we weren’t at our best but still came away with victory. I’ll take that.

Up the Faithful.

Nice game ahead at the weekend against Laois.

They are under pressure after the defeat to Wicklow.
Havn't looked into the permutations but assume that a narrow defeat and a not to big win for Wicklow over Waterford could see us top the group.

Anyway, assume momentum is key and will be looking for energy back in the group and hopefully a full team to pick from.
Squad would be a stretch as we've operated with such a small pool of players.

Laois showed signs of revival end of the league and ran Louth close. They will be all guns blazing for this one. We need to move the ball at pace and stretch them , discipline will be key also. We've done well in the last 2 games against them but the last league game they were at sea and picked up after.

6pm on Sat evening is a nice fixture time, get the go games out of the way early doors, cut the grass, iron the shirts, pack up the glasses and the bottle of blue nun and sandwiches for a picnic on the Curragh.....what more could you ask for of a Saturdeh??

Hopefully get the win
But also avoid injuries and any cards
We have been quite well behaved under
Uncle Mickey Joe
But Loais will be up for it
Thankfully we should avoid having to play the following Saturday/ Sunday bar a total biblical cockup .
Newbridge is the new Portloise
Enjoy the rest of the week if he rains stop
We would miss it

they have made great strides this year in winning division 3 and played well again a good meath side. they have two wins so far it would be a backward step in my opinion if they were to lose to laois who in fairness ain't great at the moment and offaly should be winning this bye 5 or 8 points .

Would imagine it would be somewhat advantageous to make sure we win this group for a better seeding for the next round (assuming it works that way)…

An unlikely scenario but a 5 point win for laois coupled with a 13 points plus win for wicklow would see wicklow top the group laois 2nd and offaly 3rd, highly unlikely but this is a local derby laois have been good at time this year and will have something to prove after the last day

Funny funny game. People who say the TC doesn’t matter wouldn’t have thought that today in Newbridge as there was a nice crowd and lots of passion from the crowd in what was a brilliant game for a neutral.

We probably should have won it with the sheer amount of chances we created. Like the entire season, we seem to go for goal too much sometimes, when a point is a better option.

Cillian Bourke was incredible and he played like a man, not a young lad doing his Leaving Cert this week.

Look in all honesty I’m not too concerned about the game. We weren’t great but we should have won. Gave Laois too much space at times.

I’m more disappointed that Wicklow scored 5 points in the last 5 minutes to end up winning by 17. Had they have won by 14 we’d be through in first place, with a home quarter final and no game next week. So bit of a double whammy with another game and, an away quarter final were we to win in Tullamore next week.

On a positive, Westmeath lost as well and end up in the same situation as us. They are my current favourites to win (despite my dislike of Westmeath).

We could end up with any of the following next week; New York, Carlow, Fermanagh, Tipperary, Leitrim, Wexford, Antrim, London, depending on results tomorrow.

We could end up in an away QF against any of Kildare, Sligo, Carlow, Fermanagh, Wexford, Limerick, again depending on results tomorrow and winning a Preliminary Quarter Final next week.

Disappointed not to have won but can’t really have too many complaints either as we were fortunate enough to go in a point up at half time.

Superb performances from Jordan hayes and Cillian Bourke. Hayes was motm for me.

Simply gave them too much time and space on the ball in the first half and left the centre completely open for their second goal albeit he finished it very well. Thought we should have had a free out in the sequence of play leading up to the penalty.

Overall, it was an excellent game and tbf to Laois they kept a high tempo from start to finish and ultimately got their reward. Great finish from the penalty spot.

Carlow, Antrim or NY next week.

Kildare, Fermanagh or Limerick away in a QF if we made it through. We can’t face Wicklow again at that stage.

The draw is at 6.15 and I’m not sure does that also include the possible QF draw.

There Two pointers will now be 3
All Westmeath and Loais men masquerading as biffos will be deported to Carlow
For minor offences
And Tipperary for gang membership
A statue of Mick McDonough will replace the statue of liberty..
Let's hope they don't raise the ticket prices .
Have a good week

Haha! Oh God, this (Offaly v New York) AGAIN!

Tight timeframe, but why don’t we start with a flurry of spurious lawsuits. Perhaps demand we play it in Dublin for ‘convenience’ sake. If the current administration is counseling the approach there’s sure to be all sorts of surprises in store. Tariffs are definitely looming if all demands are not met in a timely manner.
