We got out of jail tonight . To everybody in attendance Wicklow should have had a peno and our keeper black carded with a few mins left all coming from a very poor kickout .
Offaly we’re in control in the first 40 mins playing some good stuff . With Dylan Dunne the best player on the pitch running the show and Eoin rouse haven more of an influence. Those 2 seem to be our most important players . Cian mcnamee isn’t reaching the heights of last year and is a marked man now and is struggling to shake off defenders although did show some flashes of his undoubted talent.
I think we are missing a bigger stronger player in the full back line and the move of Kelly back to the full back line looked to strengthen us up there in extra time . Patrick Duffy is playing some good football but kicked a few balls away tonight but for a player in his first year minor he is outshining some of the older players
Charlie Duffy looks better suited to an impact role at the moment but is a powerful player who could start the next day
The fitness of Dunne and Rouse are very important for the teams chances Vs Meath next Thursday in Meath from what iv been told
The team have to a certain extent turned their season around without setting the world on fire.
Best of luck to the team

Thought the half back line was poor, and no 3 is not at it. Some call by the ref not to award a penalty, how he counted 5 steps in real-time is beyond me.
Strange how offaly looked like a different side in 2nd half, but they are kids tbf

I don't know if I'm being soft or if anyone agrees but is there any real need to critique individual performances of 16 and 17 year old kids, who I'm sure have plenty goin on it their lives and a lot of growing up to do yet?

Best of luck Thursday lads, they are the last football team in championship, meath are very beatable, let's hope for a few changes in half forwards at least 1, half backs 1 possibly 2 changes full back line 2 changes needed to. The lads seem on tired legs so few changes will freshen it up and hopefully we can look forward to a semi final which would make a potentially bad year into a not so bad year.

Best of luck to the minors tonight, a tough ask but you never know at this age group everything could click.

Won’t make it tonight to Navan as it’s just too early for me.

Best of luck to team and management

Brilliant result. Hope a few people on here who were very quick to knock Roger Ryan earlier in the championship might give him a small bit of credit now. Great sign that this team seems to be improving as the year progresses.

Fantastic stuff from team and management. To go to Navan and come out of it with a quarter final victory is not something any Offaly team has done over the years.

Delighted for the lads.

Great performance and result, lads played well. Best for me on the day was rouse and Charlie duffy, both tired near the end but overall had a great game, full backs caught out for few scores, and we kicked a few to many wides our goal keeper was very good today. Lads were very patient on the ball and never panicked even near the end when pressure was on. the work rate was excellent. A fully deserved win. Well done to Roger and the lads. Peaking at the right time. They won't fear anyone in semifinal I'd imagine.

Great win, and great to see the group put in a performance reflecting their talent and potential. This team was picked out from a few years back as one that might be a bit better than average, but they only played in patches before now. But with a bit of momentum behind them, anything is possible.

Definitely home or away. If it's Kildare, the last knockout game was in 2020 in Newbridge so I'd assume that would put us at home. Last knockout games against Dublin and Louth were both at home in 2023, so they'd be away fixtures.

EDIT: And it's confirmed at home, next Wednesday.
