Offaly Have a challenge game against tip this weekend not too sure where .
I would question the wisdom of hurling Tipperary (currently) in a challenge game 7 days out from championship.
If we don’t know our system after Walsh Cup games, previous challenge games and 7 league games we ain’t gonna learn it this weekend. It also means our senior hurlers will have 7 games over an 8 weekend spell.
Coupled with our U20 commitments it all seems excessive.
Surely a couple of tactial training sessions over the weekend would be a better idea.
I suppose holding a training session for your players isn’t quite the ego trip that playing a top 5 team is.

Gives a chance for fringe members of the panel to stake their claim for a spot on the 26, whilst also getting minutes into lads just back from injury who need the game time (think of the likes of Eoghan Cahill).
You hardly think any u20s are hurling??
Thank god any inter county training regime isn’t posted here or lads would spontaneously combust.

But it seems the Golf Course Terrace (the terrace that runs along the side of the pitch) has sold out.
I've never seen it matter what terrace your ticket is for there. It's open plan and you can take your pick.
It would be a brave steward trying to inform some of the sky blue Linden Villagers that they're headed for the wrong section.

For last year’s U20 final in Nowlan Park the decision was made to have designated seating rather than first come first serve. This allowed an extra 2,000 people into the game.
I would assume the reason the 3 terraces are separate designated areas for our game Saturday is along the same lines. It’s likely H&S dictates if you separate the areas through designated tickets then the full capacity of 7,500 can be utilised.
That capacity probably won’t be reached but it’s good to have the option.
Edit - Tickets for all 4 sections are available again.

The stand is unreserved for this one. I don't recall ever seeing an allocated seating match in PP. Definitely not for Offaly anyway.
The only time your terrace ticket might matters is at the turnstiles, where you could be directed to go through a certain stile. On you're in, it's open plan, as there is no physical segregation of the terrace areas.

Not sure if it’s been posted previously but here’s a handy graphic for people to save that I got from Twitter or X, whatever it is.

2 home games, 3 away. Tough ask.
You'd take the other 4 away to have Antrim at home to be fair.. exciting to be back in Leinster again. This weekend will tell a lot and if we get to the pace of the game quickly we can rattle dublin. Waterford started so quick and put us under real pressure and we weren't ready for it but that game will have been so crucial to our prospects in leinster, it really was needed. We messed around too much when under pressure v Waterford and didn't find our feet in the game until it was over but we showed what we can do when we got going. If we were to get a win and Galway had a bad day at the office in Kilkenny, the Galway game in Tullamore will look an awful lot different. Who knows what will happen, we could go into the Antrim game looking to progress rather than survive.
