Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025
Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025
Keeper should have seen the line the that was way worse than Mahons
People are backing the ref after micheal verney said he should be sanctioned after that just because there’s a lack of referees
A lack of referees doesn’t equate for that yesterday yellow cards being shown like they were going out of fashion
I might be super critical of the penalty but I thought he hit it at a perfect height for a keeper of that stature before he struck it I thought hit it low and into the corner would have been the best option
That’s easy for me to say of course

By all accounts POTH’s hunch is right and Cork and Tipperary have a home/away arrangement for league knockout games. And Cork are next to host.
It does open up the possibility that Offaly v Waterford might be a standalone fixture elsewhere.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025
dont be on here much these days so just popped in tonight to see what general lay of land was after yesterday, I concur with your obs above...sending off was a terrible decision, amazes me how the player just to accept it and trodded off, I know the ref wont change his mind but at least leave him in no doubt that he was "wrong"..he had no reason to owe us anything by accepting it..young was a huge loss..I see the odd contributor not happy with Mark Troy in goals, where that is coming from is amazing, he is doing so well in goals, keeps clean sheets often be it at the level we are at..Troy has saved some great stops over the last while, key saves...great keeper, as good as other counties have no qualms there...our touch and rising ability was poor I thought yesterday, it was poor, rooting and digging for the ball and it not coming up, was it the pitch, probably, but Waterford seemed to lift it so quicly and cleaner, and once Waterford upped it in second half be it with extra man and we tired, our poor touch as very obvious etc...too many wides..Duignan had an off day by his recent standards, Mitchell tried really hard, Kelly tried but his touch was poor at key times when we were in the game but that happens, Burke at w11 was great, he tried and tried and won so much ball, MF was very decent, our backs played well enough, going man down was always going to put them under more pressure, Kiely has to come back in there yet, where I dont know at the way the team is going to date, but he probably has to go back in to be fair..division league final will be another game and if we keep 15 on the field and improve touuch/drier pitch please God we will go closer than yesterday I think...not sure if we can beat Waterford to be honest, but we will be there or there abouts Ide say..G91 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 22, 2025 8:34 pm This forum amazes me the stuff you see is just out of this world and a good thing some aren’t an influence on teams to think there was an argument Troy shouldn’t be in goals is just an example
It was definitely a wrong decision on the red and that decision followed through the game on referee decisions
We struggled to control the ball and then we carried into trouble when we could have went for a score
Played very well at times but the extra man wore us out
Referee and linesman should be questioned

Possible now that it might be thurles or limerick.
Páirc ui Chaoimh seems to be off the charts for now.

Aye. See that, it’s in the fixtures now. Pairc ui chaoimh was the original venue but Offaly were trying to get it moved a bit closer but to no avail.private joker wrote: ↑Mon Mar 24, 2025 3:47 pm Finals in cork. Offaly game at 1 45. Both matches on tg4
Two league finals two Sundays in a row - not a bad complaint

Ticket master tend to try and sell the less desirable tickets first
Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025
Ref made a balls of the match but offaly were brilliant fought for everything just ran out of leg's last 20 minutes . hope Ben is ok some say it's a injury he had earlier in the year. Mark Troy brilliant again his one of the best in the country . a few player's had a off day that can happen but they have been great all league.
as for the final get Dan Ravenhill Cathal King back hope for a dry day plus don't give Tadhg de burgh the freedom of the half back line like he had last saturday and offaly will beat them in the final.

Seeing recent article from Adam screeney. It says no timeline as of yet for a return to play. Nothing about Rigney

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025
It’s an absolute disgrace of a set up it’s set up to be an all Munster affair
Offaly aren’t being Fairly represented how they can decide to bring Offaly to a venue in Munster where 3 teams are playing from Munster Offaly having to travel the furthest.
Why couldn’t they play it as a standalone or in limerick.
