League final in Croke Park. Rescheduling U20 championship games.

Where does all this “talk” come from?

Do the “talkers” know we have Laois the weekend after we hurl Galway? Therefore midweek after league final is a non runner.

Well Frank, If you had a little look through the page, you’d see that the league final was provisionally fixed for Croke Park but is now likely to move.

Perhaps the ‘talk’ comes from people on here hearing it from people that know the facts? Which is the whole point of the forum, to TALK and argue over such matters.

Another very harsh yellow for C Spain, but it’s our own wides that are killing us

Shocking officiating. We’re well in the contest and should be much closer but for the wides we’ve hit (we are playing into a stiff wind). Very encouraging.

A ref and linesman must be 100% sure before they make a decision that potentially destroys a game. 100% sure. That was an utterly pathetic refereeing decision.

It's a lesson on how careful you need to be with the shoulder though. You're better off holding a man up with your hands. You're only ever a shoddy interpretation by the officials away from disaster.

Don't be surprised to see another red card in second half.

Wouldn’t know what this ref might do

Our lads are out on there feet, no score the last 20 minutes is a slight concern.

Worst refereeing display in a long time but why on earth were we risking our starters especially the U20’s in a meaningless game?

Lads worked themselves into the ground, and there was no fuel in the tank for the last 15 minutes. Although he wasn’t playing well, I thought we missed Oisin Kelly when he went off … Waterford half back line became completely dominant.
Some good performances, though, and I’d say we won’t mind another crack at these.

If we weren’t hurling this weekend, you can guarantee our lads would have been hurling a challenge game.

These lads are training at a very high standard and want games, not to be wrapped in cotton wool. If our starters didn’t hurl today it would be 5 weeks between the last game and the league final.

Spirited performance away from home, in a storm and with Johnny Murphy and his sidekick Sean Stack trying to ride us sideways.
Horrible decision for the red, Stack as always trying to make it about himself even when he’s not reffing.
Plenty of bad decisions from Murphy along with that.

Arse fell out of us when the few subs rolled on which is fair enough. I don’t think many of these subs are near our strongest subs.

Had forgotten how much I disliked Waterford.
Darragh Lyons roaring in Dan Bourke’s face after 2 minutes when he won a free.
Stephen Bennett lucky not to see red after a wild ground pull where he connected with nothing other than Ross Ravenhill’s head.

When our lads started to flag, Waterford just started going for goals and fair play to our lads and especially Mark Troy for holding out, he’s been elite all year.
Dessie Hutchinson tapped a ball over the bar in the 70th minute and was met with a barrage of abuse from Stephen Bennett for not trying to work a goal.

Sets it up very nicely for 2 weeks time.
Before today I didn’t really care for this league final but that has sparked some interest.
