Not sure if lads read all posts or not. I just commented on a poster wondering will cork be as tough on their fellow munster teams and the answer is yes and that munster hurling is very tough and fairly hard hitting. Not sure why you think I'd be in awe of it. It just is. Not knocking any other provinces or teams. And in response to joe123, you are forgetting that cork scored a clear goal in the munster final towards the end that neither umpire gave. Goalkeeper went to catch it, pops out of his hand and hits the net behind the cross bar. So they were and still are very aggrieved over that mistake. Also, last play of the match, tipp lad clothes lines a cork forward to stop a goal. Receive s a yellow when I'd be looking for a red.

With the way the Cork players and manager carried on during and after the U20 All Ireland Final in 2023 they had those decisions in the Munster Final of 2024 coming to them.

No sympathy from me.

Think we led 14 to 1-10 before the game was prematurely called to a halt following a row.
I thought we were a point down at the whistle???

Disappointing that the scoreboard wasn’t on.

I am not sorry for Cork, and Ben O’Connor. Their behaviour during and post the 2023 U 20 Final had a touch of arrogance about it. The post All Ireland 2024 Final by losing Tipperary manager Brendan Cummins, was a lesson in good manners, and being gracious in defeat. I have zero sympathy for Cork after the Munster Final.. Their behaviour on Wed night v Offaly shows nothing has changed

Any word on Adam Screeney and Shane Rigney’s respective battles with osteitis pubis?

Are they on track to make the Galway game or we looking at a depleted forward line?

At least 6 months recovery time for that type of injury. Not looking good

Where are you pulling that timeframe from?

You can have no idea of a return to play . For all anyone knows screeney could be out for the intercounty season if he was already injured during the later stage of the offaly championship and kk s run into leinster. If that's the case and it's a serious injury it could be anything up to 6 months. If it's a new injury, 6-8 weeks. It appears to be the 6 months time frame as I don't think either player has trained with either team this year.

If there's bad news, Private Joker will have it.

Some of them have osteo arthritis. More have bad hamstrings. Others suffering from dizzy spells. And there's an epidemic of the scuts in the squad. That's all fifteen of them out. A drunk in a pub told me. Heard it from his brother who heard it when he stopped in Kilcormac for a fill of diesel last week. So it must be true.

First knockout round is six weeks away, there's no need to panic yet.
Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.

"Offaly's hurling is exact and abrasive: full of assurance on the ball, devoid of fumbling and slicing and sod-busting". Kevin Cashman RIP (September 1994).

As I posted, you can have no idea what the time frame could be. I'm just purely speculating. I would be fairly certain that offaly will have all their players available vs Galway.

Rumours abound, just have to wait for the real situation. Still a bit of time until the inter county season starts.

I heard Shergar has been drafted in to play wing forward, such is our injury crisis. JFK told me at the weekend.

I heard he was gonna play corner forward and that came from a 4th cousin of my mother in laws father and he heard it from a reliable source at work so I'm pretty sure it's accurate

That's standard recovery time for that type of injury, depends when adam and shane stopped playing/training and started their treatment. Galway match is the 5th of April, they can be rushed back but it's just going to put them back at square one if there not fully recovered. It's a very complicated injury that plagues AFL and GAA players
