i some how thing its Johnny Kelly that is telling Troy to take a short puck out and and take the return pass. i seen about 4 or 5 times yesterday when mark look for a puck out alot of the offaly player's had there back to the puck out's. it wasn't Troys fault that we didn't the win.

I don’t understand it what is the point pint of taking a short puck out , take it back just to drive it into the clouds anyway when he could do that from the puck out originally, his puck is good enough to reach near the half forward line ,

So many times we over did it and carried into trouble so many loose passes

Going to have to find a rhythm fairly fast expect Laois to be out for blood similar to last year

We’ve now seen that once again JK leaves it too late to make changes like what happened last year against Laois

Hello All,

Haven't Posted in ages. Moved job and the new place has the Website blocked. (They must have knew i was coming)

A drawn wasn't a bed results. The day won't suit our lads and we still should have dragged ourselves over the line.
Take a point as a plus and move on to next week.

Expecting a very tough game vs Laois this weekend. I’m a long way from home, any news on injuries? I know Adam Screeney and Eimhin Kelly are long term injuries/recovery. A win here and we are up and running for the year, but a loss puts us under pressure to stay in 1B.

yes it's going to be a tough one sunday. offaly will have to up there game another level or two from last week's performance. Laois will be out for revenge over last summer's joe McDonagh cup defeat. and in fairness a game they could have won with all the wide's they had and butcher two goal chance's.

add in laois hammer Carlow in last year's league final a county offaly have fail to beat over the last few year's. didn't see offaly's team or has it been name yet. but we desperately need Cillian Kiely back centre back as in my opinion he was man of the match in the McDonagh cup final. also the short hand passing in the half back line has to be cut out were are not limerick i don't know how many score's we cough up last week been over turn or silly fouls we came Carlow in the game with free's alone last saturday. we need to get quick ball into our forward line instead of the slow build up that was last weeks plan. Brian Duingan should start sunday id like to see Brecon Kavanagh get a run plus Colin Spain we need more leg's in midfield very slow last week and in last year's final we lost the middle battle with laois. 50/50 game maybe offaly by 3 if the forward's click plus it should be better weather wise also.

Is that same team again ? If Offaly didn’t give away so many frees last week they’d have won but you’d hope lessons learnt

One would have to believe that the Offaly team selected to start tomorrow is somewhat weaker than the team that started the Joe McDonagh final last June.

Ben Conneely, Cillian Kiely, Eimhin Kelly, Eoghan Cahill, Brian Duignan and Adam Screeney are all absent from the starting 15 for one reason or another and Offaly are really going to be up against it to get the win here.

Also Offaly really need to get to grips with Aidan Corby at midfield as in our last 2 meetings he has scored 0-08 from play. (I could be mistaken but he possibily scored 0-04 in each game in the first half of each match)

Laois really should smell blood and I feel they just might have too much for us.

If we lose tomorrow we could be facing relegation as its two up two down.

Id except us and carlow to beat Westmeath and if that is the case and we lose to Laois it will probably be down to scoring difference, to see who would go down between ourselves and carlow.

It's a very important game.

Time for the supporters to come out and support the team.

We left last week's match behind us and should have beaten carlow.

Offaly u20s gone to hurl Cork in Pairc Ui Chaoimh tonight before Cork and Limerick in the league.

Going down with half a team to Cork in front of 30k+ where Cork would love nothing more than to hammer us.

Word is that U20 management have asked some of the senior subs and other panel members to travel down ahead of a crunch league game versus Laois tomorrow, absolute madness.

Cork 1:15, Offaly 0:12. Big size difference between the teams. Cork very strong in first half, Offaly rejigged team in 2nd half but played at challenge pace. Good outing for both teams.
