Not to put a dampener on this teams achievement. But this is realistically the second tier at u 15 level the Arrabawn final is where the best teams are we weren’t even in the shield or B Arrabawn final
Cork had I believe 3 teams in this tournament. While on the surface it’s been portrayed as up their with what the group at u 20 achieved when they were that age it’s nowhere near it not sure how strong this group actually is but hopefully when they get to minor they are competitive. Which I believe most of underage hurling teams will be over the next few yrs

The counter argument is they have been only hurling in development Squads one year....how do they enter the arabawn? At one stage is it graded I know the 20s crop won the Tony foristall when that age.

Irrespective of the level, you can still identify a number of players who if encouraged, coached and developed properly, can bolster and add to the existing crop of players between the ages of 17-24. In 5-8 years time this will be the period when Offaly have their best chances of success at senior level, so continuing to bolster the squad and maximise talent is what's most important. There's 7/8 players from that U15 group that have the potential if nurtured, even bringing through 3/4 from that sub-group would be brilliant. Add another 3/4 from this years minors along with the U20's and those just above that age grade and you've a squad with serious talent and depth.

I’m pretty sure they lost the Tony Forristal final to Tipperary???

Lost 3-11 to 1-6. A lot of familiar names on the panel.

This team beat Cork 2 and Kilkenny 2 at the weekend. That's still a good achievement for us at this age grade. Realistically you can only beat what's in front of you and realistically, we are not going to be competing at the high end in every age group, just the way it is. Competitive minor teams that can produce possibly a handful of players is the goal.

This is a potentially good group I hear. Who is the minor manager and management team for 2025?

Can you back that up with evidence that doesn't reference his playing career?

Brian caroll very good coach, but he's the manager. You can't manage and coach a team at the same time. It's so time consuming to do both. Its a mistake that should not be made.
