Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
20 stand tickets per club so most of us will be on the terrace. Bring a raincoat and enjoy the game from the terrace, knowing we achieved our goals this year.

Ah lads stop the lights
Looking at the article on the express about the homecoming, the photo at the top of the article, who’s up the top behind sampson with the cup only michael d
He loves the camera. Not having a go btw, just gas that he’s never far from a photographer when one of the teams are going well

He was after saying a few words and passed the mic onto Jason.
Not denying for a second that he loves a photo or two, but don’t think he does any harm.
The most interesting placement of the weekend has to be Leo O’Connor on Saturday. While Jason was making his speech, Leo was out on the field standing just behind Johnny Kelly. So when JK was shown on telly, Leo was right there.
Whatever about a county board chairman being front and centre, the county u20 manager doing so is far more peculiar.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Have you not seen the photo im referring to? It looks like theres kids giving a guard of honour to the players. I’ve no issue with him getting pictures taken, I just don’t know why he’d be walking up through the guard of honour too.
Yeah interesting one with Leo. I suppose there’s probably a bit of conjecture around him coming up to the senior role. It was probably as much a thing to quieten any chat of their being tension between the two camps. To be honest, we seem to be very lucky to have johnny involved, sampson certainly referred to it in his speech.

Seen a lot of talk about the hurlers training in birr community school at the start of the year, what was the point of that? Why not use the faithful fields?

I'm guessing that was in the bad weather and they were doing ball work on the astro in Birr CS when grass pitches were in shyte.

Pat Donegan. Signed out of respect for players and all involved with Offaly.
"Offaly's hurling is exact and abrasive: full of assurance on the ball, devoid of fumbling and slicing and sod-busting". Kevin Cashman RIP (September 1994).

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Is that not the point of having a centre of excellence, so that the county teams can use them

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2024
Just a small area, sufficient for doing a few drills but nowhere near big enough for even a small sided training game.
