Offaly Jersey
Offaly Jersey
Hi all,
The best looking most colourful jersy in the country OR at least it could be! I like the county jersey however I think it could be better, look at the wexford jersey - modern flowing pattern.
The meath and kerry jersey have developed into a tricolor jersey too, I like the retro 80's offaly jersey on O'neills website but the latest one is two Carrolls for my liking, I know they have been a long standing sponsor but less is more!
What do you think?

Re: Offaly Jersey
Were Offaly to follow the normal 3 year life span for jerseys adhered to by the vast majority of other counties (which is no guarantee given our County Board's previous record) then 2011 should be the final year of the current kit.
Should a new design be needed in 12 months, my desire would be for something simple. Less of the stripes, lines, collage, over complicated shite that took over countrywide during the 2000's. The O'Neills designers completely lost the run of themselves for a period.
Something like this years jersey from Carrickmore Gaa in Co. Tyrone would get my vote. Tis viewable from the link below.

Re: Offaly Jersey
I got the new white one from the O'Neills site for Christmas, great looking jersey and the only reason sponors sponsor is to get their brand out there, to be fair to Caroll's that is their brand so they are right to look for that on the jersey.

Hi,
I agree the carrickmacross jersey is grand, like i said in my last post, I like the old style jersey even the 90's jerseys with the sponsor in plain black script but I HATE the new red emblazoned logo on the latest one.
I was looking to buy a jersey for my neice and nephew for christmas too. But was turned off, I bought an 80's adult size one instead, I don't think kids would like this though!
I like the Keep It Simple Stupid ideology
Hats off to the county board in the past for not sanctioning new jerseys year on year as it was too much expense on parents.
Still everyone to their own, I suppose!

i also liked the style of the Australian soccer jersey from world cup 2010 which were green white and gold.
It would be a great new style / "away" jersey

Re: Offaly Jersey
The standard life-span of a jersey in other counties in 2-3 years. Given that our current edition has just finished it's third year in use does anyone know if any moves are being made on replacing it?

Re: Offaly Jersey
When I saw the Oz jersey at the world cup last year I thought it would make a brilliant Offaly jersey - totally different
