As yours truly has become the latest Offaly supporter to arrive to Oz, just wondering if any posters are down here too and more importantly, play hurling or football. I know there's a few GAA clubs here (I'm in Melbourne) but want to know which is the best.
And for the Shark crew, yes I will be "that offaly jersey in the crowd"!!!

Re: Clubs down under?
Im just back from Oz, spent 5 months in Melbourne last year and played with Melbourne Shamrocks. I'd definitely recommend them as a club to do a bit of hurling with...good way of meeting folk, great craic and there's nothing better than doing a bit of hurling in the sun! They're only a new club (set up in 2004) which has two men from your part of the county at the helm - Seán McIntyre and Mick White.
They train Thursday's at 6.30 in Yarra Bend Park which is a 5minute drive from Clifden Hill train station. Sean's no. is 041 2247197. Give Seán a call and if he can't pick you up at Clifden Hill train station in his ute (along with 5 or 6 other hurlers!), he'll make sure someone else will!
Hope this helps...
