Offaly Senior Hurling Championship 2008

Post by Over The Black Spot »

Lads,

Just looking for a bit of info on each club in the senior hurling championship (and all other adult grades if your first team is not senior) under the following headings.

Manager/Trainer
Selectors
Key Players (3 or 4)
Long Term Injuries
Retirements
Young Players Stepping Up
Transfers In
Transfers Out
Expectations For The Year

Some of ye might just take on ye're own clubs if ye get a chance & see how we get on. I'm just looking to build up a profile of all the clubs in the county, the info won't be used anywhere else.

LUSMAGH

Manager/Trainer - Seamus Gleeson (Kildangan, Co Tipperary)
Selectors - Pat Temple, Brendan Troy, Paul Kelly
Key Players (3 or 4) - David Moran, Aidan Hanrahan, Kevin & Paul Bermingham
Long Term Injuries - Where do i start. Aidan Hanrahan recovering from fractured skull, Brian Troy broken leg, Kevin Bermingham has damaged disc.
Retirements - Looks like brian troy might be. Some players are undecided if they are hurling with the club this year i hear?
Young Players Stepping Up - Eoin Quinlan, David Hogan, Padhraic Bermingham (all Offaly minors), Paddy Cahill
Transfers In - None
Transfers Out - Austen Lynch to Ballyboden
Expectations For The Year - With such a small pool of players and with players out injured, transfered or not interested it looks like the best they can expect is getting out of their group. Lower to last years expectations id guess.
