I reckon KK to win comfortably, this is not to say I think Limerick are a bad team, just that KK are simply so good! Obviously credit where it is due, and this Limerick team has defeated the League and Munster Champions in Waterford! However I dont think that there forward line will get much change from a KK defence where I believe Noel Hickey and Tommy Walsh have been the star performers so far this year. KK are such a formidable outfit and have so many cards that they can play, this is a luxury which I dont believe Limerick posess..........there game plan is basically play it high into Begley, let Shaughnessy and Donie Ryan feed off the big full forward. Dont get me wrong, I am not criticising this game plan, cos we all know its not a beauty contest, you go out to win by whatever means possible. But what I would argue is that Limerick have no alternative to this gameplan, whereas KK can throw all their forwards around in a similar fashion to the way that Waterford do, and as a result they can pop up anywhere and score goals. The strength and depth of the KK panel is a huge advantage which the Cats have over the Treaty men also, Limerick look like they are limited to the Tobins Pat and Kevin, Niall Moran and perhaps Barry Foley. While we all know most of the KK panel, I would love to see Richie Hogan aka 'Baby DJ' make an appearance on Sunday, and word in KK is that this is a distinct possibility.
Well thats my summary of the game on Sunday, however like all the GAA followers, my fingers are crossed that Limerick can do what seems like the impossible and dethrone the Cats! Unfortunately it is hard to see past a KK victory of maybe at least 5-6 points!

Lads I would really like to see Limerick winning this one simply for the reason to bring on hurling in the county and particularly in the city. Much of the city ,seems more interested in rugby particularly after Munster's Success of recent years. Everybody in Limerick followed Munster and i suppose any young fella watching Paul O Connell and company would be immediately inspired to follow in their footsteps and go out and pick out a rugby ball.
For the future success of hurling in limerick and to increase its profile, it would be great for them to win an All Ireland. There is nothing like a All Ireland homecoming to help any person make up their mind on what main sport they want to play.
Limerick deserve this All Ireland- particularly for the likes of Gary Kirby ( Ciarian Carey , Mike Houlihan of 96, 94) who never won an All Ireland. Richie Bennis also craves one and he knows what it would do for Limerick hurling - he strikes me as a great hurling man , a man who is hurling passion personified.
Unfortunately , However...................
I must agree with Offalys Future . I may be wrong , but i would be worried that they mightened be able to keep it pucked out to Kilkenny and it could be a repeat of the 2000 All Ireland.
I felt that they did their best to lose the Waterford game and seem like a team who feel uncomfortable holding on with a lead. They got the goals against waterford, Waterford pegged them back a bit before half time, then they got the goal again directly after Half time and still they had a 10-12 minute period where they didnt get one score.
Limerick looked uneasy holding onto the lead again and Waterford eventually pegged them back to a point ( and even with a lot of Waterford Wides) ,
That game really hung in the balance until Brian Begley made the catch to win the penalty. Again remember this was against a tired Waterford team.
I dont think the Limerick management is much good either - eg Andrew o Shaughnessy putting Line balls wide at the end of the Waterford game instead of maintaining possession , bringing off Mark Foley at the end of Waterford game and his replacement immediately causing the McGrath Goal.
Kilkennys bench is also better.
No team is unbeatable as Kilkenny found out in 2001 and 2005 when all the pundits were saying Kilkennys B team was the second best in Ireland. But i honestly feel that this Limerick team isnt the one to dethrone team - Waterford I think would be much better equipped to do this...
If any team is to beat Kilkenny, particularly those outside of Tipp, Cork , etc. then they will have to lead from the front and build up a lead on them to place them under pressure.
Limerick though are there and i suppose anything could happen on the day .Cody I feel is already eyeing up a possible three in a row with this one a handy one for him
Ill make my prediction
Kilkenny 3-20
Limerick 1-14
Ye can all throw it back at me at 5.30 on Sunday Evening !!!
