From a psychological viewpoint and my own experience, telling lads “if we win this we’ve Antrim (or whoever) in the next round” doesn’t work as it removes the focus from the job in hand. This would be a dangerous path to follow.
I’d be more inclined to deliver the message to the lads that they will have to hurl at their best for the full sixty in order to beat Dublin. No mention of cups or medals at this stage, or a party or the next round, but focus everything on the actual match itself.
