Dub Fans

Post by TheManFromFerbane »

I think I'm preaching to the converted here but even so I think it needs to be said.

The dubs have there knacker elements, and as pointed out by AZ so do we. But if anyone was in the smoking area of the big tree last night at around 10 you would have seen a sight to behold.

There was 2 Offaly lads (from Edenderry as it turned out) standing at the door out to the smoking area having a chanting match with about 150 dubs. When we saw what was going on we naturally jumped in to help out our county mates.

The banter and the craic was unbelievable, we would roar our heads off for a chant and then they would roar back at us and all the time with smiles on their faces and laughing.

There was one dub that didn't like what was going on and came up and pushed one of the Edenderry lads. He was duely picked up by two other dubs and thrown out of the smoking area to boos and abuse from the rest of the dubs.

I'm away at the moment so I won't be able to hear but if the Joe Duffy population decide to have another rant about the dubs I'd love to ring in and tell them about this.

It was a great experience and the only good thing I took away from yesterday. I don't want to talk about the game because it makes me angry...

P.S. The lad who got pushed ended up scoring a dub girl. He who laughs last....
