Club Managers 2024
Re: Club Managers 2024
Didnt hear anything on management front but couple of senior clubs looking for managers apparently after a few stepped away. Lots of good players from Durrow have stopped playing or disappeared from football over the years. Seems there has been changes at committee level there for first time in long time so will be interesting to see if any changes come about regarding their working relationship with Ballinamere hurling, after the fall out a few months ago.

I believe Nigel Dunne is set tobecome the new Shamrocks manager. Very 50/50 on how that'll go. But a very strong team in Shamrocks at the minute.
Any word on potential Ballycommon, Ferbane & Edenderry replacements?

Edenderry could do worse than giving Ger Rafferty a call.

Yes I believe he is taking up job. Hard to do when young and managing guys you played with. Interested to see if he plays also. Dont think Shamrocks will be better off for having Nigel on line as opposed to on pitch as still heavily reliant on him for scores.DurrowBoy17 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 02, 2025 8:57 am I believe Nigel Dunne is set tobecome the new Shamrocks manager. To best of my knowledge, following senior clubs still without manager:
Edenderry
Ferbane
Ballycommon
Durrow
Clonbullogue
Assuming Rhode, Tullamore Clara and Bracknagh going with status quo.
Will be interesting to see who Durrow appoint with changing of guard at committee level.
In Senior B, assume Ballinagar stay with Benny O Brien, Cappincur with Ger Lynam and Tullamore with Brian O'Reilly?
Any info on likes of Tubber, Ballycumber or Daingean?
In Intermediate, any knowledge on who is staying or going or any new announcements. You'd have to see likes of Ferbane 2 and St Brigids among favourites for intermediate but if likes of Raheen are organised, they could also contend.

Re: Club Managers 2024
Has anyone heard an update on current vacancies??
The few clubs mentions above?
Ferbane would be nice one for someone to get.
You'd have to think its the most attractive of them all. Followed by Edenderry and Ballycommon.
Durrow would have to be the least attractive given last years history. Cant imagine anyone would find it attractive especially with the strong appointment of the Ballinamere club. With the fact of players commitment to the football side of things seems to have struggled the last few years.
Clonbullogue is a funny one let themselves down last year mainly down to discipline but have a few nice players and with the new format it could suit them.

Haven't heard any confirmed appointments, but the few clubs mentioned are holding interviews at th moment apparently.
I heard Peter Brady's named mentioned for Edenderry & Ballycommon jobs but not sure how true.
I wonder would ex Managers Richie Dalton, Padraig Egan & Ger Rafferty be snapped up by some other clubs in the county?

Re: Club Managers 2024
Would that be Peter Brady's third stint as Edenderry manager?
