Delighted with that result. While promotion was the objective adding silverware is class.
Kildare had big men who won some high ball over our much smaller lads but by God when it came down to earth Offaly lads showed bravery, speed and brilliant football skills..

Yes obvious peno but what was a mystery to many was the free we got after Masterson caught kick out on his chest and ref gave us a free ....... Some players, on both sides seemed surprised and a few stood up with us ...

There was a mention of a free when an Offaly player strayed into (?) his own half to interept/collect possession.
Was the free given from that spot or brought to the 20 line---- In the programme from Croke Park on Sunday it is clear any such free is "on the point where the player crossed the halfway ...

a development squad :::::: Living in Kildare I know their Dev Squad did some training and have played quite a few games, challenges v Waterford, Tipp and one or two more (Cavan ?) as well as participating in a "Leinster Dev League* v Dublin, Louth & Meath.

Offaly could do similar which could add to ...

what do you mean the like's of offaly yes offaly have been down over the last few year's but we are moving in the right way i watch Dublin in last year's leinster final and offaly who won the mcdonagh cup before would have beaten them. Brendan was training Offaly Ladies in Dublin in 1973/4 and was one of those who arranged and attended the inaugural LGFA in Hayes's Hotel. He was manager of the Offaly team which reached the first All-Ireland Final.
