I wonder did they play in all games this year ? Are other teams going to have a grievance if they played illegal players against them in games that possibly could have cost them knockout hurling ??

Yes and what is going to be done to stop this from happening again. It’s very hard for clubs that ...

Junior Hurling 1/4 finals:
Tullamore v Belmont - This should be the closer of the two games this week end for me, Tullamore beaten finalists last are a big physical side with some good experienced players, but I feel Belmont might take this one by 3-4 points after a big win in the final group game ...

One thing that can’t be faulted is the effort Edenderry are putting into hurling at the minute, most nights now the fields are filled with underage hurling boys and girls teams. The junior hurling team has a panel of 30+ players on checking the last team sheet.
The underage teams are progressing ...

You could argue the lads playing senior club football aren't able for the step up to division 2 either..we seen the same when tullamore were absolutely schooled by ballyboden...not one of the tullamore forwards could break the tackle...division 2 is such a massive step up..every county bar us and ...

Didn’t Brosna Gaels not so long ago come all the way from junior B to senior ranks, I wouldn’t be knocking the junior grade at all. It’s a platform for some clubs, if you have some success at underage level you can build a team from junior upwards. It’s not as if we have been setting the world ...

Super win and absolutely delighted for the management and team. We were written off at the start of the league and told we would be doing well to stay in division 3.
We were completely written off and insulted today with us priced at 7/2 to beat a team which we totally dominated only two weeks ago ...

Good luck to all involved today,

I think we have a great chance in the final, 14 men for a large part of the game and we gassed out at the 50 min mark. The ref was shocking poor and the sending off decided the game, conditions were tough
We battled hard and didn't concede any goals, hopefully drier conditions the next day and we ...

Best win for the footballers in a long time, every player worked their socks off. Our movement with the ball created some great scores, our defence did as much attacking as they did defending, McDaid getting fouled for the penalty and straight away back in his roll at corner back. I thought Kildare ...

Those who would like to see lights in Glenisk OCP or Grant Heating SBP should note the state of the Portlaoise pitch today. Worn from being played on afternoon and evening. A patchwork of sand. Players slipping and sliding all over the place. Barely playable.

I'd prefer OCP and SBP the way ...

1-24 Offaly 1-15 Laois , great to get an away win

Good first half , fell apart in the second half. Billy Ryan and co that came on opened us right up in defence. Kilkenny way more bulked up, we wouldn’t want to go back to old habits of conceding 5-6 goals in games, whilst only a challenge shipping big hidings benefit no one

One wonders will a FF/FG lead government again finish the Children’s hospital within the next 5 year term, or build a bike shed for under €300k, or help the children with scoliosis, reduce the scandalous homeless figures.
I accept no government can solve every issue, but it would have been nice to ...

Na Fianna worthy winners, on top for the entire game. Bigger players, more slick, spread the ball better for their forwards and always seemed to have a loose man for a puck out or pass coming out of defence.
KK battled hard but never looked like winning the game, another 2 or 3 years needed to ...

KK 2-13 CG 1-13
For determination and physicality CG should have probably won the game. I thought the ref let way to much go, while we all like a battle he blatantly let numerous fouls go, players constantly pushed on the back, players mauled and a clear as day face guard pull on a KK player which ...
