Re: U21 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
Out of interest is it not hard to get behind a team that has a temporal identity? There is no relation to any of the adult teams and it seems to be a nice thing to win but then they migrate back to their respective clubs and the championship begins the achievement is presumably long forgotten ...

Re: Intermediate Football Championship
I will have more interest than usual in the IFC this year as my own club, Cappincur, will be playing in the second tier of football for the first time in a long long time! First up is Doon. Realistically this year is about consolidation and gaining a foothold and not falling back into Junior. I ...

Re: Schools Football
(1) Unquestionably, Colleges A is a higher level than VEC A, in Leinster at least. I don't doubt that Gallen would be competitive, but based on what I saw from Maynooth PP today, they absolutely would not be. Note that Maynooth beat Granard in the previous round, who would have given Gallen a very ...

Re: Man in Offaly jersey
He hates Westmeath.... I seen him on TV about 6/7 years ( maybe more) ago he was behind the goals in Pearse Park in Longford when W/meath were playing Longford in the Championship decked out in his Offaly Jersey. He was going mad clapping anytime Longford scored.

Re: Rhode V Kilmacud
Jaysus lads relax. Don't be making this personal - no call for that. If anyone wants to identify themselves on this board that's up to them - if they don't, then it's not for anyone else to start giving clues.
As for Eddie Kinsella, I'd be lying if I said he came to my attention for being ...

Re: Rhode V Kilmacud
Very poor losers shown by some of the mouthing at the end especially from pascal and anton and mcnamees red card
What the F##K are you on about, Anton nearly got killed in the second half with no protection from the ref at all who was brutal to say the least. Vaughan should have been sent off ...

Re: Immigration of club players
In relation to Daingean, they lost an inter county star in the late 90 s to Tullamore prompting their relegation to inter.
They then won the inter in 2002 and lost 5-6 players the following season to emigration and retirement so losing any players has a massive affect which they still haven't ...

Re: RHODE MARCH ON
however the addition of Mark Dunne at midfield has been huge. his recruitment has essentially added two players in the sense that he is the fielding midfielder that they never had, while his presence allows Alan McNamee to play his more natural game of dropping deep, reading the play and hoovering ...

Who's this Mark Dunne that Rhode have recruited? Did he play in the group stages at all cos' I can't recall ever seeing him play?
He is from The Rock in laois... played a few O'byrne Cup/League games with laois couple of years ago .... not a brilliant footballer but will run all day and all night ...

Re: Rhode vs Clara Offaly SFC Final 2010
For the first time in 11 years, the same two teams will contest the Offaly Senior Football Final for the second consecutive year. Back in 1999 Rhode, the reigning County Champions, faced off against their neighbours, the great Edenderry team of the late 90s. That afternoon was a story of penalties ...

Re: Senior Hurling semi finals - 03/10/2010
There's a reason the GAA needs to be strong on the third man rule. I agree completely that there are rows and scraps in club games the whole time featuring non-players - and it's a plague on games that needs to be dealt with. The rule is there and rightly so. And to be honest, no, I wouldn't come ...

This could be destiny.
She could meet her soul-mate and one true love in the wilds of Shannonbridge!
Then the 'bridge will become like ...
