Re: Players and Payment
Don't know about pay for play, but you make some good points. Everyone is making money except the players. I think county boards could do more to assist unemployed players. Any Unemployed inter county hurler/footballer should be appointed as development officers with their county. This would not ...

Re: division 2 next season
This Offaly management must go now. I have been saying it for a long time now. They have done nothing for Offaly hurling. There are better players in Offaly not on the county team. A new management is needed before things get worse. The Offaly county bord need to put in proper youth structures also ...

Re: Offaly v Kilkenny 17-04-11
Diarmaid Kirwan is reffing the game in thurles. It is his first time in charge of a Tipp team since he rode them in 2009. If he rides Tipp again this Sunday Offaly go down. As much as it will kill him to see Tipp win I'm sure he will do his best for Offaly.

Re: Offaly vs Tippearly NHL Round 4 13/3/2011
Offaly people very quiet on this thread. Normally yee are on here slating Tipp and telling us how good the cats are. I have been saying for a long time that Offaly hurling is in a dark place at the moment. I was at the game yesterday. Offaly will struggle to stay in division 1. I watched both teams ...

No great loss. Plenty of good hurlers to replace him in Offaly.

Re: Double header in O'Connor Park this Sunday
Just asking lads. No sign of Brendan Murphy in the Offaly team. Is he injured/retired/resting??? Useful enough player. Tough game for the faithful. Galway put up a big score against Wexford all be it Wexford were very poor. Think Galway will be in with a good shout for Liam come sept.

No mention of Brendan Murphy as part of the 2011 panel. Is he retired/injured? He is a very useful player.

What about ballyskenach pitch??? Or the one behind the county arms hotel. Have great memories from that pitch when playing with the primary school years ago. And onto the black bull to celebrate winning the county final with a bottle of coke. Great times.

Re: Offaly Hurling Panel 2011
Doesn't matter who comes in. They won't make a difference. I blame the county bord for not putting in proper structures in over the past decade. Also a lot of Offaly supporters constantly give out out about their own players which doesn't help. The players need more support.

Re: Oakley and Mullins retire
Oakley was a great player. One of the best to come out of the faithful in the past decade. Took a lot of abuse from some sections of the Offaly supporters but was always big enough to rise above it. His presence
will be missed in the Offaly dressing room.
Mullins I thought was over rated and will ...
