Re: Offaly management 2027
Is there any information available about the selection committee for the managers job or how it is going to be decided?
It’s really hard to see an obvious solution. Any club manager from Offaly probably has to beat Tullamore before being considered up to it and anyone from tullamore probably has ...

Re: Club Football 2026
Stupid post.
If Brosna Gaels and Shamrocks took hurling seriously, they should be established senior b sides.
What an ignorant and stupid post - I can assure you that Shamrocks take both their hurling and football very seriously. Shamrocks have 3 teams in Adult Football (Senior, Junior A ...

Re: Club Football 2026
What a load of b%llix , such a troll. Shamrocks won't make a final, clearly taking the piss sneering .rhode might win a championship but even still wont have enough
Tullamore and ferbane will paly in the senior final again , cop on now !!!
Unless they get drawn in a semi-final. You'd have to ...

I agree, I think the new structure is fantastic and has re-invigorated the whole championship.
The 'strong group' has the enough jeopardy to keep it interesting while the 'weak' group is a complete free for all. The 'weak' group in particular has benefited with all those teams now getting ...

Re: Club Football 2026
Maybe I have been under a rock but recently edenderry announced Peter Brady, Greg Farrelly and Adrian Farrell as a management team and none of them present tonight. Possibly the worst set up from any team in senior football what’s going on over there ?
Match Programme had Management team as ...

Did you hear about the insecure Cork Man - he only thought that he was twice as good as everyone else!!Lone Shark wrote: ↑Tue Jul 07, 2026 2:42 pm To me, it sums up Cork that even when they're going badly, they cannot conceive that it might be because others are better than them in any way.

Re: U20 hurling 2026
The setup of the Development Squads is not the issue - they are keeping us relevant. Without them we'd be in a very bad state. At the moment we can still knock off the odd title which we were not able to do for a long time. The issue we have is one of Demographics. Our playing numbers are dwindling ...

Re: Club football 2025
Down the line, amalgamations like we see at underage will have to be considered. All the population is shifting to the urban centres.
Also the setting up of new clubs will have to be considered. Ireland is changing drastically - Rural Ireland is being decimated - think about it for a second ...

Re: Offaly minor football panel 2025
I was at a good few of the Offaly games and watched a lot of other games on-line and the best player in the Championship in my opinion was the Louth Midfielder Tom Maguire - how he didn't make this team beggars belief

Re: Club football 2025
This appointment can be looked at 2 ways from an Offaly point of view:
- Rochford comes in and adds considerably to the team. They win Offaly (which they were overwhelming favourites for before the appointment) and go on to win Leinster (which they weren't a million miles away from last year). The ...

Re: Club football 2025
The issue is the deal that was signed in the first place - it was a crazy deal from an Offaly County Board point of view. If they wanted O'Connor Park they should have purchased it outright and then developed it. The deal that was done was crazy - pay high rent for a piece of ground - spend millions ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football 2024
The numbers re Tullamore are completely false . They have never had 120 at u8 . That’s a fact I know what I’m talking about max was 70 which was 6/7 yrs ago
So you're telling me that at any year there are less than 70 boys in the Tullamore Catchment Area? My figures have come directly from an ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football 2024
I have to say that I agree with JimBob to a point with regards to the amalgamations - a lot of the bigger clubs within these amalgamations are abdicating responsibility by leaving the development of the youngsters to the amalgamations rather than doing the work themselves. IMO it should be a rule ...

Re: Club Football
Referee was shocking. Also one of the Tullamore first half points was over the post - I was directly behind it. Umpire went for the flag way too soon and it drifted at the last second. And as for the Lineman flagging that the ball was out during the second half - come on!! Amateurish all round. The ...
