Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Mullen was a huge loss to ballyhale. I think they would have won if he was on the field. Delighted Martins won , lovely to see new teams come to the fore.
I was delighted St. Martin’s won. Good to see new teams come through.
I think Ballygunner might have too much in the semi final. Fixed for w ...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025
https://www.offalyexpress.ie/news/home/1954405/offaly-footballers-find-out-opponents-as-leinster-senior-championship-draw-made.html
Just on a point of pedantry here. We weren’t drawn at home to Laois. That sentence in the article infers the first team out has home advantage. This is not the case ...

Re: Club football 2025
I was a bit suprised by Ballyboden’s 15 point win last Saturday. I expected Tullamore to be a bit closer in the game. From the local radio report the result was evident by the HT score, 2-12 to 0-4.
No other Offaly SF team would have won last Saturday. Maybe the problem is the SF championship ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
I think you are correct there. Ballyhale survived by 3 yesterday. St. Martins of Wexford face BS in the final. Think they have a chance of winning Leinster.

Re: Club Managers 2024
It's also pretty factual that when it comes to the 2026 Offaly SHC, Kilcormac-Killoughey will be the clear favourites, but the two teams that will be deemed the most likely to dethrone them, based on the quality within their playing ranks, will be Shinrone and Ballinamere, closely followed by ...

Re: Club football 2025
Brilliant win for Tullamore, they were much the better side, and if won by 8,9 or 10 ppints one wouldnt be able to fault them for it, tough ask in the semi again Ballybodan, but I think the blues can take them in OCP, really looking forward now to that game.
The Downs scored 4 goals today, they ...

Re: Club Managers 2024
If true, Coleman is with westmeath so although possible, very hard to work both and get the results you need. Treacy is very good but is known more as a coach than manager. With kildangan for a long time as a coach.
I think Sean Treacy is from Portumna, a former Galway hurler, and he was ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
There's a lot to unravel about today and K-K's season in general.
Many managers come onto post game interviews and ream off game statistics because A) They think it makes them sound clever but more importantly B) they are actually unable to decipher the game in front of them because so many of ...

Re: Club football 2025
IBit of a nod to a young Shane Dooley too who picked up yet another county medal - must be up to 8 or 9 senior medals now between hurling and football.
Ah Jaysus Jimbob, Dooley can hardly claim a legitimate medal for this can he?
He didn't play a single minute all year for the seniors and ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
lets hope thats ballyhales all ireland today. one thing kk will have to do is keep away from making it a physical match they will know nowlan park well keep in wide and open they have the forward to trouble ballyhale back line. but also ballyhale probably have the best forward line in club hurling ...

Re: Club football 2025
A distinct feeling of deja vu as I left OCP.
Ferbane coming close but no cigar as Tullamore find a way to win.
It has been the very same for three years on the spin now and likely to be the same again next year.
Ferbane sat in with a blanket defence in the first half despite having the wind but ...
