Re: Roe names strong side
That would be fine if we were like Roscommon fans and advocating that some Frankie Dolan-esque figure be picked instead - but we're not. Niall Kelly is putting in the effort and that's fine - but to the best of my knowledge, so are Casey, O'Hara and Egan, the obvious alternatives. Thus the ...

Re: Cork GAA dispute
Folks, football is a simple game, it's players and officials that complicate it. This is a simple debate, we are just complicating it. I'm sure some of yee watched Prime Time last night about this and after listening to Donal O'Grady and Donal Og Cusack I feel justified in my comments. I listened to ...

Re: Cork GAA dispute
To azoffaly, I apologise if I offended you. My point was that anyone that hasn't been part of it can only speculate. I've no problem with people speculating but that's just it,speculation. As I've stirred up emotions on another previous issue regarding player protection on this matter it's quiet ...

Re: Cork GAA dispute
The thing is they are not 'on strike' they have just 'withdrawn their services'. The next step is to ask the next best 60 footballers and hurlers to compete for Cork . I asked a mate down in Cork , who would probably be in that next tier whether he would consider it and he told me not in a million ...

Re: Where are we going with this?
Ok folks I've just read the Man from Ferbanes comment so I put this to all posters. Do you believe that labeling a player as a wimp on this forum should be tolerated no matter what the circumstances. Forget about how you might feel at a match when adrenalin is pumping or maybe in a pub after a match ...

Re: Where are we going with this?
Perhaps the words could have been chosen better,
This is just my point although I would say definitely have been chosen better and not "perhaps". I'm sure the lad will grow from it but I stand by my belief that calling a player a wimp from the comfort of a computer is out of order. If that's an ...

Re: Where are we going with this?
To paint a clearer picture I am not from this individuals club and don't actually know the chap that well so I've no allegiance to him either. According to him he had been intimidated both physically and verbally throughout the game with the usual non protection of county players from our Offaly ...

Re: Where are we going with this?
Well folks as you'll see below I've found the post that I spoke about.
***** went down like he was struck by a sniper which was absolutly pathetic to watch, and to think this wimp was on our County panel this year. Its no wonder Offaly football is the way it is.
This will probably ring a bell ...

Re: Where are we going with this?
Thanks Lone Shark. I think we are all of the same opinion about where to draw the line so lets stick to it.
I know some players do read this and I know of one who was severly ridiculed some months ago over an incident in a club match. The post was totally uncalled for and it had a 'confidence ...

Re: Where are we going with this?
Agree 100% with you G&W and with regard to the over use of the english language and exhausted comments I for one find these extremely boring and if a topic I'm interested has an over elaborated response I couldn't be ars*d reading it because I've better things to be doing with my time. Don't get me ...

Re: Footballers
I was watching for the results yesterday cause I couldn't make it to Tullamore yesterday and as soon as I seen the 5:24 it reminded me of 1996/1997 under Tommy Lyons. Similiar scores were achieved against the 'weaker' counties that year which turned out a succesful one for Offaly. There was alot of ...
