Re: Club football 2025

The goings on at a club AGM have no place in a match report.
The people who ran to the media with stories would want to take a good look at themselves too.

Corrigan is some reporter for going off script on a match report and raving about off the field issues or other topics that have noting to do ...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025

Cillian Bourke going AFL with Melbourne based side Essendon.
Can't turn down a chance like that. He has developed unbelievably well the past few years and the nicest lad you'd meet aswell hopefully it ...

Re: Club football 2025

To be fair to Chddar - and he can speak for himself- stripping out scores from placed balls to identify scores from play is a hoor this year with the two points from play and two point frees. Which is why there wasn't a list of top scorers from play in the County final programme. It wrecked my head ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025

To (finally) deal with the question – does it change my mind on the Tall… Tall… Tailtean Cup? And you’re not mistaken. Maybe three years into the thing I’ve mellowed on the subsidiary cup thing and gotten used to it. But not because of Senior B, Intermediate or Junior championships – they’ve always ...

Interested to hear what other contributors would change from these rankings.

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025

Just over 4,000. The actual attendance was announced, disappointed when media run with "a little over 4,000".

Combination of the 1pm start - because womens soccer has to have the 3pm TV slot -, no curtain raiser, and the wet morning all conspired against a more regular attendance.

Anyone get an ...

Senior hurling final random thoughts

To start at the end - Killoughey will win. But I don’t believe it’s a 1/4 shot. There’s a lot to recommend about Shinrone, and for me it’s closer to 4/6 Killoughey.

It’ll be a tactical one. Killian Sampson in a free role at one end, Brecon Kavanagh free at the other. Sampson either counter ...
