This was a hard one to swallow. I drove up from Galway half expecting a Good "Offaly" day out but I don't think it could have being worse.

Bottom line Kilmurray and crew will not leave, and the county board have an agreement with the players after the last strike to hold onto managers for at least ...

Lads
I think we are in with a great chance to win this game. Dublin have not being good this year with very poor performances against Monaghan and Meath in the O'Byrne cup.
Our foward line are capable of scoring goals in this game ane yes with the tight pitch it will suit our backs.

Did someone say ...

Good start for hurlers

Offaly 1-21 Cork 2-18
This was a very good game of hurling for Feb and you would have to be very happy with the stanard of hurling Offaly played. It was a game we should have won only for Mullins mistake for the Cork goal and Stephen Browne missing what would have being the winning point at the end ...

let them in if we are good enough were good enough. I think it will be harder on their teams and supporters to go and compete for a provincial title they have no historical interest for.
I think it will be an open draw in a few years and we will be competing on a regular basis then, so it would be ...

I think the relevance to Offaly patrons is the rumor that the Birr players would withdraw from the county panel if the judgement does not go their way.
I was of the belief that the officers in Birr gave a commintment to accept the judgement of the DRA.
The birr club officers have now dug a hole for ...

Hurlers chances

This is how I see the hurlers perform during the league
Play well against Cork but no win 0 points
win against Down 2 points
Win against Wexford 2 points
Clare to win in Ennis 0 points
Win against Waterford 2 points

Total points 6 points

This should get them to the quatre finals and the rest will ...

Excellent account of the game from Lone Shark
I will agree that it is only the O'Byrne cup, and the pace and challenge of 50/50 balls were certainly not at Championship level. However this result will help confidence with the players and just as important with the supporters. After last year we ...

Give the young players another chance to play at a higher level. These games are what they need, anyway we will have more important games to play against Laois later in the year.

I believe that our hurling is no where as bad as last years results might suggest. If Offaly had to play any team in Leinster with the excemption of Kilkenny we would be confident we could win. The league this year will be a great test and leave them with far better prepartions that last year in ...

Folks looking foward to the site for the year ahead as a new member

I agree with Board na Mona
Don't the Kilkenny county board officals give out about county boards who dont look after hurling in their counties yet they will ignore football in their own patch.

It is up to the Leinster council or ...
