Re: Offaly vs Westmeath 2011 Leinster U21 football championship
Having seen 90% of the U21's games in the lead up to this match the Management have picked the players who are on form and Noel Andrew is not firing on all cylinders at the moment. Donal Ryan who was flying, unfortunately went over on his ankle in training on Friday evening, is a huge loss as in his ...

Offaly Football Team Versus Wexford
Make no bones about it-this is not just a qualifier- it is the most important game Offaly is involved in since they lost to Dublin in the Leinster semi-final in 2007, by the score of 1-12 to 0-10. The Offaly team had arrived at the stage of the Championship in a mindset that, as in the previous ...

Re: Kildare vs Offaly - 2009 Football Championship
Kevin Egan wrote an article in the June 6th edition of the Offaly Independent which should be reproduced into contract form by the County Board. They in turn should request that every coach/manager and player from U14 up-(in both codes) sign same as their first vow in their quest to wear the county ...

Offaly v Longford
Now that we have a management team that has the pedigree, tactical ability, organisational skills, knowledge of what players can step up to the heat of inter-county matches and the bottle to pick them, my faith in the "Faithful" producing a performance to be proud of, has been awoken :D

Re: Roscomon V Offaly
Great report by BnaM and Lone Shark honesty reflecting what went on before our eyes. I felt so sad leaving the ground i could hardly breathe. To see a proud county like Offaly with a huge well of talent that have competed so admirably in minor and U21 in recent years under Tom Coffey, Phil O'Reilly ...

Re: Minor result yesterday?
Rarely have i felt the paralysis i endured when the referee blew the full time whistle yesterday. Im still numb and the defening silence that greeted Meaths victory spoke volumes on the performance our young men had given and the dignified way they conducted themselves on the pitch.

Re: Fixture Clash this Saturday
We have a county board who have no vision, no foresight and now it appears no power. To be unable to influence the situation where offaly gaa fans & families have to try and budget or forego supporting their county team five times in a week ie S.H. offaly v limerick, U-21 offaly v kilkenny, S.H ...

Re: Offaly vs Down Football Qualifier
Very good post lone shark. You are so tuned in it amazes me that the County Board or/and the management of our Co. teams have not utilized your extraordinary ability to decipher genuine information/stats on players and games which would give us a head start on any opposition. I don’t believe any ...

Re: Sean Ryan - Decision Time
Sean Ryan pulled his hamstring while training for the Co Final with Birr hurlers on a cold wet night in Pullagh, and was training with no other team at the time. He played with 10 teams at championship level in 2007 – Birr U’21 and senior hurling, Wheery U’21 football, Birr intermediate football, U ...

Team selection
Offaly have the players with enough ability to beat laois. It will take brave team selection to pull it off. I sugest the following team has the right balance of experience, flair and pace to trouble any team left in the championship!
Meehan, Casey, Brady, Rafferty, Slattery, Sullivan, Grennan,N ...

:) Offaly will win the match on sunday, the team wont start as selected as Renyolds is not or will not make it as a wing forward. The only way you will get a return out of John is at full forward and Pascal on the fourty! Both players will then be in positions they are comfortable in.

Good confidence builder for the team, obivously had a structure to their game which was great to see, as the days of hoofing a high ball up the field and hoping for the best are long over. Very interesting to see the way management are bringing along a whole new breed of player and allowing ...
