Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Interesting question asked to me today.
Did any offaly manager ever survive after year 1 with the loss percentage of dk in first year..?
Any offaly manager ever go 3 year with the win rate dk has at the moment and survived another year?.
I would add to that point too. Not only has a manager ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
"For a county like Offaly with a relatively small pool of players, some of whom like Egan himself play both club football and hurling, it’s easy to believe that the load placed on players could be a contributory factor.

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Are you seriously suggesting Sawyer, Molloy and Murphy are better inside forwards than Kellaghan? Sawyer was an unused sub for U20s (maybe not even on 26) when Aaron Kellaghan was starting. He was better then. He is still better now. Molloy was never an inside man and still isn't. Murphy is ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Thomas, Why are so many lads injured? It's common knowledge around the county at this stage that the team was flogged against previous S&C and Physio advice. So much so that the footballers had to get another physio becasue Chris Combs wouldn't work under Deck & Mickey flogging lads and they ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Dalton played at 6 for Clara for a year and was very good there - senior B player of year in fact. SOTG played there with Shamrocks previously. Pearson did it with Edenderry. Jordan Hayes has NEVER played there.
Cormac Egan has mostly been a forward. I never mentioned him to be put to inside ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
On the Daniel Flynn point ...he's an example of a player who would start for his team...who with Dublin coming back to the pack it's not totally unrealistic for them to win a leinster...and he still walked away....the commitments are huge ....perhaps on Kildare forums people are blaming him ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Not true.
It has been said to me many times Deck & Mickey have gone against Physio and S&C advice in the past. They want lads to do runs for example when advised not to.
Management refused to give Combs(Physio) GPS data when he asked after he noticed all these injuries.
Management refused to ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
I'd agree. This is the point I'm trying to make too.
The response is always 'ah everyone is carrying injuries in every county'. Yes this is true, but nowhere near the magnitude of what Offaly is carrying in the football. But no one would dare question the methods of DK or his S&C Team.
I think it ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
I’m not too worried.
Our defence is missing four guaranteed starters in Ciaran Burke, James Mahon, Killian Sampson and Donal Shirley. Our attack is missing Charlie Mitchell. All those players make a huge difference to the composition and quality of this young team.
Sampson, Shirley and ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Would agree a lot with what jimbob17 and Faithfully have said here.
I think its becoming pretty well known/believed in the county that Deck Kelly is a problem in there. This is coming from supporters, players and anyone that has experienced the man.
Firstly, I want to say that Deck and Mickey ...
