Very creditable performance today for an injury ravaged panel. I think nearly everybody would have taken that result before the game.
It’s all about the Taitleann Cup now and getting our best team on the pitch for when that starts.

There are two right answers here.
The proper answer is the all-Ireland final loss to Kilkenny in 2000. Because it was the all-Ireland final and we haven’t been remotely competitive since. What I’d do to get to an All-Ireland now.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
It wouldn’t be the league in February without way over the top negative reactions to defeat and it seems that this year is no different. It’s worth remembering that these are losses (two competitive, one not) in division 1A. It’s hardly like we’re being hammered in division 2.

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
The amount of negative talk on this forum about this management, team, players, everything is deplorable. Especially after what was our best year in years in 2025. It is clear that for some posters, their opinions regarding this team and management are informed by a personal dislike. And top it off ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
A very creditable performance from a very young injury depleted team. Well done to all involved. Something is stirring…..

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Agree, no place for that sort of carry on. The game itself was played hard and fair for the most part, got a small bit feisty near the end, I was on the opposite side of the pitch so it was hard to see what triggered the fight at the end. At that stage just accept that the better team on the day ...

Sorry I missed that.
Yes, in that case that’s a massive dual commitment for Ferbane. They really are an incredible bunch of players.

Re: Club football 2025
Hold on, Tullamore are Senior A in both codes too.
Surely that counts as a dual club as much as Ferbane/Belmont? How do Tullamore manage the football/hurling training compared to Ferbane?

Re: Club football 2025
Link to all scorers for this years championship. Used for my All Things Offaly Instagram page. 98 scorers across all games. Interestingly none of the Top 5 were Offaly panellists by end of championship. CF left and Nigel retired. Johnson, and Plunkett could be on board next year and you never know ...

Re: Club football 2025
That was an outstanding final today and credit is due to both teams.
Ferbane died with their boots on. That group of players, for what they have done and been through for both Ferbane and Belmont deserve unending respect. They are a serious group of men and they have to believe their time will come ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
I know nothing about the Brosna Gaels/Donal Shirley situation but, speaking generally, its an unusual situation and I would have a lot of sympathy for any player in that scenario.

The over and back between Lone Shark and Anonymous1 is what makes this (supposedly) GAA forum so good.
Very interesting points made on both sides and all made respectfuly. Thanks to both.

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
I’m sure it’ll be dressed up a multitude of ways but 4,000 people is some drop off from the 6,937 that turned up to St Brendan’s Park in 2023.
A 42% (if my maths are correct!) decrease is pretty substantial.

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Shockin’ carry on in Banagher to see Drumcullen celebrating like that. Don’t they know that if Kilcormac were relegated from Senior B last year they would have been playing Kilcormac today and that’s not an insult that’s the truth.
Seriously though, great to see Drumcullen win that. They needed ...
