Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Kildare motoring well vs carlow. Big win and scoreline from them.
I was at the game, we had 4 club lads playing for Carlow. Very disappointing from Carlow, gave up every puc out and Kildare were able to saunter up to their own 65 and either hit points (first half with a strong enough wind) or ...

Ah no, I know that …. That’s kinda the point I was making …. and that maybe it’s not just bad luck why we are in this situationFairplayalways wrote: ↑Wed Feb 25, 2026 4:49 pm I wouldnt say lads are picking their "fantasy team" like its not like we are blessed with who to pick.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
There is a very relevant discussion over on the football thread about the quality of the strength and conditioning programme available to our county players, and the impact poor practices (eg flogging the life out of lads) can have on the number of injuries we are currently experiencing. Surely this ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Great to see Killian Sampson back and Donal Shirley too. Interesting to see how Ter Guinan does at midfield … that position should suit his speed and skillset.

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Yea there might be a few outliers at times at underage where lads want to do both, but remember that our best footballers developed a lot through involvement in other sports. In fact, it is a scientifically proven fact that being involved in multi sports through development ages up to 16 or 17 ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
I’d imagine a lot of people are revisiting their predictions of this bring our best chance of a league win after results for both sides last weekend. Still, I think (hope) Offaly can trouble Waterford. Our injury situation doesn’t help, I’m assuming Dan Bourke is another addition to the long injury ...

Lovely point by Adam to win it. Man of the match! Liam Hoare’s distribution is top class.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Liam Hoare a real positive out of today, excellent throughout with puckouts and helping out the full back line, and a super save at the end. Offaly competed well throughout, needed a bit more from the forwards to really threaten.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Fairly scrappy stuff in the first half. Kilkenny have hit a lot of wides. Our touch is letting us down a bit, but we are competing well. Liam Hoare’s puckouts (especially short worked ones) are good. Donal Shirley gone off with what looks like a groin injury.

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Heading into Nolan Park tomorrow. Hope for a competitive performance from our lads. Decent team named, albeit with some big names missing, especially Killian Sampson and Charlie Mitchell. Still looking forward to see how we do against a top team. Dan Bourke to move to centre forward and from there ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Agree, no place for that sort of carry on. The game itself was played hard and fair for the most part, got a small bit feisty near the end, I was on the opposite side of the pitch so it was hard to see what triggered the fight at the end. At that stage just accept that the better team on the day won ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Some really big match-ups in prospect tomorrow, starting with Slevin vs Mason … Conor Slevin wins this one! Then you have Cillian Kiely vs Eoin Cody (if Cody plays centre forward … he’s been v good out there all year) … a huge battle, might be pivotal. I expect TJ Reid to go in full forward vs ...
