Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Miserable enough performance, was about what I was expecting in terms of result. Only minor positive is the fact we hit an awful lot of wides and on another day could’ve had 25/26 points - which would be enough to win championship games ( but that’s just the pure optimist inside me clutching at ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Similarly with his brother, I don't think that Dan at five should be dismissed as a bad move just yet. First of all, this lad is still just 20, so he's entitled to a bit more rope in terms of figuring new stuff out. In the modern game, a scoring threat from that sector is valuable, and he is ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Very hard to play the way you want to play when the opposition are fitter, faster and more skilful. Its the all ireland champions, with a bunch of u20 all ireland champions also pushing hard for places. It is not an easy place to be. Staying in liam mcarthy for 4 to 5 years is the most you could ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Obviously not a good day out, but that was to be expected going into today. Very depleted panel at the minute and most people's only hope was a positive few performances in the league, so no heartbreak today.
Having said that though I really don't know what the plan was today outside of hit it in ...

Re: 2026 Leinster hurling championship
Have to target Dublin, Wexford and Kildare.
Hopefully the exposure to Division 1A will stick to us.
Has the panel started back at gym programmes yet?
Any word on new additions? Perhaps Shane Rigney, Luke Nolan. Any whispers of other new panellists?
Would love to see Rigney in, and give the ...

Re: 2026 Leinster hurling championship
Dublin and Wexford last year were winnable games, with the feeling a home game would’ve seen us over the line - so they have to be the 2 we really target, aswel as Kildare obviously.
I do hope that 1A league hurling stands to us and sees us over the line - a genuine possibility for 3 wins and ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Cillian Kiely playing centre back for offaly is a pipe dream. Simply doesnt have the mobility for intercounty and this has been shown time and time again. A great club player on his day but will be a club player only
Think it’ll be a very interesting choice for next year with Kiely back fit ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Thought it was a strange move today to play County full back C Burke in corner on Screeney and McDonald on James Gorman. Neither looked comfortable at all and I felt it unsettled their defence from the off.
Think it was a case of put our best player in the full back line on their best player in ...
