The physical difference between offaly and the other counties is very noticeable. It's an area that dramatically needs to improve in the next 3-4 years.
How do you improve that in the younger players at this stage of there lives. Lack of height is a big problem for a lot of the younger lads ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Crisis averted. Think I read on Facebook earlier that mitchell is the new captainfaithfulfanatic wrote: ↑Sat Jan 03, 2026 2:03 pm Charlie Mitchell captain for tomorrow.
I wonder is he permanent captain now or is someone on the subs/not named captain?
Seems Burke won’t be captain anyway, hopefully he focuses on his hurling now

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
well if true what burke did say or didn't say on the field in training with the county is the place to sort it out then you know if his captain material.
I don't know if that would be great for team spirit lads fighting in training. Probably have some crowds at County training though. County ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
I cannot believe what I’m reading.
If, and I know it’s only an If. But if that is true that Kilcormac fellas would act like that because they’re not happy with how Burkie acts like that on the field.
You mentioned the word there - Snowflakes.
Good Jaysus. Burkie would be well entitled to do ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
And again, there's a difference between a Thomastown team that has gone completely bananas after winning the first and only senior club title in their history and a Ballyhale side that is top of the national roll of honour for club All-Ireland titles, with four All-Star winners in the team and ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
I’m sure it’ll be dressed up a multitude of ways but 4,000 people is some drop off from the 6,937 that turned up to St Brendan’s Park in 2023.
A 42% (if my maths are correct!) decrease is pretty substantial.

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Good win for Brosna Gaels over Tullamore in the Junior A final today.
Donal Shirley didn’t play and was named at 34 on the subs.
He came on for Tubber in the football last week so I’m wondering did he re-aggravate his injury or is there something else at play?
Think I read on the football page ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Kevin mcDermot fell out with rigney that's why he's not there. Not surprised though. How would any player listen to him roaring at you for an hour. That day is gone
