Crushing result unfortunately. Proud of the way the team battled in the 2nd half. They played with a lot more composure against the wind, retained and moved the ball well and kept in front for most of the half.
It must be said that the first half was very poor. There was a lot of aimless kicking ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
This is a very very poor cavan team, make no mistake about that, this is the perfect team for us to play right now, especially in Tullamore, cavan are on a down word slope lately, i think with results today offaly have a right good chance of staying up with kildare having a tough last game to ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
A big question has a team not got a point in division 2 before.?
I know London and Kilkenny have drawn blanks in division 4 .
We were talking about this in the pub on Monday night.
Obviously some of old league setup when you played before and after the new year teams didn't win in a calendar ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
In fairness, with a forward line of O'Neill - Flynn - Higgins + Tierney - Bryant - Hyland last year, there was not really an argument to be made for Ru McNamee starting.
Higgins to centre field for Jack McEvoy and Ruairi in was the obvious one.
No, because like it or not, with the new ...

Sorry, this ould lark of giving lads time, Adam Hogan, Adam English, Ruben Halloran - just picking them three off the top of my head, the first two played Munster Championship games in the weeks leading UPTO their leaving certs...Ruben Halloran a recent U20 with Waterford, looks more than at ...

Re: Offaly Senior Football 2026
Ok. Fail to address the points raised in the above post again, good man. Your only riposte is to call everyone else a five year old.
Everyone else is wrong, you're right, I suppose. You're embarrassing yourself again and again here, you haven't a clue and are unable to engage in debate without ...

Called on what? Just because I'm not acting like a 5 year old when my team loses ......the team is ravaged with injuries ...you do realise there was a civil war in Kildare when Flanagan dropped all the experience players for his 20s ....this is sport ...it's not rocket science....can you post what ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
I know they will be in OCP, but is there actually anything stopping us from playing our home games in Birr? I think it would suit our lads better, O’Connor Park can be lifeless enough at times. Maybe there’a an agreement or due to the lease on OCP, I’m not sure.
Plenty of life in OCP for the ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Generally an okay performance. Could have been beat by 15-20 points in the end, the 1-2 or 1-3 in the last 2-3 mins made the scoreline look worse.
Is there an option to play all of our home games in Birr? I think it would be great for the team but not sure what the agreement is with O’Connor ...

Just googled out of interest and with AI, this was drawn up.
Cormac Egan (Tullamore): A standout for University College Dublin (UCD), he reached back-to-back finals in 2024 and 2025, earning a "Rising Star" award for his performances.
Rory Egan (Edenderry): Represented University of Galway ...

Re Schools
Look at the Leinster final recently. 2 Westmeath schools - Colaiste Mhuire vs Marist. From a Demographics standpoint, Colaiste Choilm probably the only one with the all boys numbers that can compete at that level. With due respect, C/D football is long way off.
As stated, Edenderry ...
