Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025

Leinster Senior Football Championship 2026 Round 1:

Offaly vs Laois in O’Connor Park.

Winners progress to play the flour bags.

Good draw. Winnable game, followed by winnable game.

Not that the Leinster SFC is the be all and end all these days, a couple of wins would be quickly forgotten if ...

Re: Club Managers 2024

One shot i did say SOME for a reason the 4 players you mentioned would be the 4 but there is others who havent.
B/D would be behind Coolderry and Birr considering they lost to both this year!

Anyone hear who is called in with Offaly?

Sampson and King no longer there. No surprise, serious ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025

A slap that occurred while going for the ball in play and would have been a yellow at worst.

He drove the hurl down on the man's forearm as he was handpassing the ball. There'd be awful crying about it done on here if the roles were reversed, I can guarantee you that. People would be ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025

if you look back at it Mullen put his Elbow straight into Charlie Mitchells face full force after the whistle went . karma

He went after Mitchell because Mitchell slapped down on him with the hurl, wasn't a nice slap. A slap that now appears to have ended his season. So how exactly is ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025

Ballyhales Adrian Mullen is to miss the rest of championship due to injury sustained at the end of the match. Probably the late enough slap down on his hand just on FT

Looked like that what started the flare up. We Were sitting right in front of where it happened. He'll be a big loss to ...

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025

With all players available, Derry and Tyrone are absolutely the 2 strongest teams in the division.

I'd be happy enough to have them both away. Better to have the home games against the teams we can actually beat.

Re: 2026 Leinster hurling championship

Exact same draw as last year, with home/away rotating. Kilkenny and Wexford don't have their usual last day game, which is the main change from a general perspective.

There may have grumblings that by Gameweek 5, Kilkenny are already booked for the Leinster final and Wexford were being handed ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025

I’m sure it’ll be dressed up a multitude of ways but 4,000 people is some drop off from the 6,937 that turned up to St Brendan’s Park in 2023.

A 42% (if my maths are correct!) decrease is pretty substantial.

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025

As far as I am aware, he was medically not declared fit to play for Tubber vs Daingean in the football. They brought him on in the 2nd half although in a very limited capacity I believe.

Tubber would be the priority over Brosna Gaels, which is probably fair enough. Doesn't look like there was ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025

As for the main event of the weekend, Shinrone certainly made an enjoyable game out of it in the 2nd half. Sometimes referees letting too much stuff go can result in an unenjoyable chaos, but I think the right balance was struck this afternoon. Tough winter hurling at times, with moments of ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025

Rumour around Michael Duignan confirmed Durrow will be splitting from Ballinamere next year, feel like they have enough to go by themselves, will be interesting to see how they fair out

They need to be together first, if they were to split. They are not together, never were. Even at underage ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025

Serious battling by Shinrone. Thought they were goosed.

I'd reckon Durrow would surely have to enter down at the Junior grades as they would be a new hurling team. Ballinamere would be swiftly relegated from Senior A. I'm not convinced yet that a split will actually happen.

Re: Club football 2025

Cillian Bourke invited to the AFL Grand Final in Australia in a couple of weeks time and will take part in the combine after that. Always thought he would be looked at by the Australians, interesting to see if he misses any of the club season.
