Re: U20 hurling
What is wrong though ? Is it population, is it club coaching, is it underage offaly coaching?
Its very frustrating when you see the set up in faitnful fields and the work some clubs are doing.
I take our own club great work been done but im not sure if we have any young talent like a Mitchell ...

Re: U20 hurling
It's more juts general stuff you'd be expecting to be good ,
Dublin are a different animal yes , but that Doesn't account for our lads not being able to pass the ball a couple yards or rise a ball first time
It's stuff that should be if no issues that looked to be an issue whatever about Dublin ...

Re: U20 hurling
That was tough ,
I know expectations weren't that we were going to put on a show v Dublin
Nothing went right , passing , control , rising the ball
Very tough for a young team to be beat by that amount at times they looked like they would kick on but dublins puck out killed us and then the pace ...

Looks like Newbridge is the new portlaoise sand all over the pitch due to the amount of games it's had everyone here called it
O Connor park is in great condition a real credit to the groundsmen

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Think we gave Dublin to much space and time at stages where we could have pushed up a bit more on short puck out
Thought the ref was all for Dublin in the first half a free down one end wasn't a free the other
That will give a great boost of confidence after a tough league , under no illusion ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
It's tough at the top no doubt
Out of last year in offalys divisions
Both football and hurling
Both teams that went up went back down
Hopefully after been in a Leinster for a year will have been good for Offaly and stand to them.
Need Brian and oisin to be more involved than what they have ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
I thought offaly might consider a change of management this year felt the tried and tested of jk rwnnuts course after Leinster last year made some odd calls that just didn't make any sense..

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Wasn't at the game listened to the first half and the obituaries were being called out despite being couple points down , regardless of how average or not so average Galway are there's a couple factors
Galway have being hurling at a higher level for long periods of time where Offaly haven't it ...

Bit of kick in the face to Offaly gaa to start deciding what was there faith as if we are now gone
For the size of the county and split trying to compete at both codes it's never as simple as we aren't up to it
I don't believe there was a date wn turn the game changed players retired time moved ...

Thought the back line were ok Ben coneely is a touch of class , very poor return from the forwards with exception of screeny and maybe Cahill, how can we not find a way to have oisin and Brian more involved instead of the 2 them standing waiting for the big high ball
Cahill wasn't too bad ...

Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Tough day at the office to be expected
Didn't go listened to it on tipp FM
Can't understand why jk so is persistent in keeping r.ravenhill on the 15
Obviously not getting the most from the forward lines same last week
By the sounds of things JK seems to keep sticking with the same plan ...

Re: Club football 2025
Ultimately being a dual club with almost the hole panel playing both codes is effectively paying the price for it
Colin Egan (hurling) left the panel some time ago to focus on hurling probably down to age family etc.. he would have been a big player to still have
And Cathal Flynn vise versa would ...
