Re: Offaly Hurling 2026
Tactics were fairly defensive initially. The Leinster Minor Final when we beat Laois, we could have won by 20 points if he had to allow the lads to hurl in a more attacking sense. Those failings came home to roost in that year's All Ireland Final vs Tipperary.
Only by 2024 did he realise he had a ...

Re: Underage Hurling and Football 2025
Good luck to Mullingar CBS, best team won, and all their players are playing football as well as hurling over the last few days as well, they are in Leinster A semi final, so they have plenty going on to. Hope they give Kilkenny CBS a right rattle.

100% agree, it was a 'mane one'! Mullen is not a dirty hurler, he plenty entitled to be peeved.

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Ballyhale 25 to 1-18. 15 to 8 in the 2nd half.
Ballyhale upped it and kk couldn't match it.
Very good game. Winter hurling is a different game and you need physically strong players to get enough scores. Kk supporter should be banned.

Re: Offaly Senior Footballers 2025
Key thing for progress is to keep Mickey Harte as he made this team competitive, and maybe even let him bring in his own people as well.

Re: Club Managers 2024
Seoirse Bulfin is actually a lovely guy. Very pleasant and loves hurling.
But if he can manage Westmeath and Kilcormac/Killoughey then he must be the greatest volunteer in the history of the GAA.
Good man Frank, fascinating insight, the fact he is very pleasant and loves hurling makes him a ...

Re: Offaly Minn r Football and Hurling 2023
Not even about who starts, once you are in the senior squad and apparently there are four and one injured you can't play. Liam Collins appears in all games for their seniors and is a serious talent. Galway only scraped over Wexford the last day without them. Its the one good advantage about being in ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football and Hurling 2023
Well done to the Minor Footballers. Unreal chance for the U20 hurlers to take a scalp on Saturday with Galway missing all their seniors thanks to that crazy rule.

Re: Offaly Minor Football and Hurling 2023
Dublin minors have been very poor for the last few years and according to supporters at the match there are no great expectations with this team either, but at least they aren't a million miles ahead of us. We are lucky to have been drawn in a tier where we avoid Galway and Kilkenny, and will surely ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football and Hurling 2023
Have been on here already saying how it's farcical that we are in this competition with a full county to pick from, subs who played Senior County championship with their clubs this year. As a man said to me earlier if they started their strongest team today they would have won by 30pts FACT! I want ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football and Hurling 2023
Progress for Birr, Kilcormac and Ferbane in schools hurling and for Col Choilm and also Clara in schools football, makes combined schools a hard one to manage as these schools now go into finals and semi finals in individual schools. U20 managements, particularly in hurling (given volume of ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football and Hurling 2023
Col choilm don't take part in the combined schools. There will be a combined schools in leinster. Dublin school won it I think last year or the year before.
Colaiste Choilm don't play with combined football because they are in A football same as St. Marys Edenderry who they beat. They are ...

Re: Offaly Minor Football and Hurling 2023
Absolute joke they allowed into the hurling with a stacked team, a North and South could have made sense. Imagine if they knock Kierans out before a Leinster final, putting them out of the competition, well the Munster and Connacht schools will be licking their lips. Makes a nonsense of the whole ...

Re: League & Championship hurling 2022
It's a higher level than minor I would imagine they would find it difficult to beat Kierans but if they did it would really show how talented they are.
Absolute joke they were let into it, 90% of the minor team last yr on it and others who even played minor the previous year on it to, totally ...
