Could argue that the top of Ballykillen hill is the natural boundary between Edenderry and Ballyfore catchments as opposed to the Shean Ballykilleen townland boundary too

Great map and discussion.

Shean townland in Edenderry parish - traditionally in Edenderry catchment area and not Ballyfore as shown on the map - the Guings, Derek Kelly, the Malones, the Merricks, amongst others from Shean who played with Edenderry

I won't be one bit surprised if Galway beat Cork

Fully agree, I was disappointed in the performance after many excellent performances in Leinster Championship. There just seemed little fight or belief, and I thought the goals were poor to give away at this level. Great occasion walking through Thurles before match.

Got the tickets today, enjoying the build up

1pm on a Saturday is a desperate time for the game

Is the venue for Tailteann Cup Quarter Final going to be a draw or do the Round 2a winners like Offaly have home advantage?

Brilliant experience to be in O'Connor Park on Saturday evening, particularly when team and crowd got going in second half. I did wonder would I see days like it again

When was the last time Offaly beat Meath in Championship in Navan (or even league)? Don't think it has happened in my time.

A shame indeed game is not on television, or even available to stream, for those of us who can't be there in person on Sunday.

Edenderry relegated, Ballinamere deservedly won relegation play off

So, relegation playoff will be JHC Champions of 2022 versus JHC Champions of 2023, and a repeat of 2022 JHC final.

Edenderry have lost a lot of players since that final for one reason or another, but imagine that 2022 victory will be enough to provide belief.

Best of luck to new management. Hopefully this thing that has been going since 2001 of giving up most years after Leinster Championship can be addressed. I never understood going through the hardship of all the winter training and then check out in the summer before games finished.

Believe it or not, Edenderry were 5-5 to 5-4 winners over in 1938’s Senior hurling quarter-final! Edenderry gave Drumcullen a walkover in 1964 while in their only other meeting (1965), Drumcullen were 7-10 to 1-4 winners.

Thanks, was wondering when Edenderry and Drumcullen last met. I wonder ...

Hard luck to the Offaly players after the huge effort yesterday. Hope they can give Tipp a good game in a few weeks.
