Re: 2026 Leinster hurling championship
After his year this year, the obvious solution for me is for Sampson to be centre back and Shirley pushed onto the wing. Maybe we might be light on forwards, so he’ll be pushed up and he can definitely do an equal job up there in my eyes. In terms of getting the best out of the squad, I think ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Not much to add to what's already been contributed here but I did want to give Daniel Hand a call out, particularly in the first half.
Excellent game by him and Jordan Quinn. On top of that and Charlie Mitchell hit some scores right out of the top drawer, he also looks to have physically put some ...

Re: 2026 Leinster hurling championship
Have to target Dublin, Wexford and Kildare.
Hopefully the exposure to Division 1A will stick to us.
Has the panel started back at gym programmes yet?
Any word on new additions? Perhaps Shane Rigney, Luke Nolan. Any whispers of other new panellists?

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Not familiar with the Shirley situation so I won't comment.
On the additions to the panel based on Sunday, I would certainly look at the Landys from Shinrone and I would even consider Alex Kavanagh. This might raise a few eyebrows as he's not on the first 15 for KK, however he's competing with ...

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Very impressed with Birr on Saturday. Good team and well structured. They will be in the mix for the next few years no doubt.
Luke Nolan was fantastic and Morgan Watkins has really come on. Both definitely worth looking at with Offaly for 2026. Not sure what age either are? Maybe Ailbe Watkins as ...

Haven't seen enough of him to comment.
Has anyone put their hands up that wasn't involved in the panel in 2025?

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Great comeback for The Blues in Birr this evening.
Would be great to see Cormac Egan on the senior hurling panel at some stage. He really has that x-factor.
I'm curious, who else has potentially put their hand up for call up to the senior hurling panel next year?

Re: Offaly Club Hurling Championship 2025
Draw between Belmont & KK. The home team will probably feel they should have won that but they will still be happy to come out with a result against the county champions.
Good performance by Peter Geraghty for KK. Not too many clubs would manage without the likes of Mitchell, Kiely, Ter Guinan ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025
Was impressed with Kildare's structure today. Strong down the middle and everyone working hard for each other. Plenty able to take a score too.
They will be targeting our game in Newbridge no doubt.
Nice to see Laois put on their backside again. Some strange selection choices and a bit late to make ...

Hard luck to the lads today.
They can hold their heads up high after a brilliant year. Leinster medals in their pockets already. Big future ahead for the group

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025
The dust has settled on the season, one that we can look back on with great positivity. Promotion in the league and consolidation of our Leinster championship position. Fantastic.
On the management situation, I think Johnny Kelly has taken the team as far as he can, not sure how many years exactly ...

Re: Offaly U20 Hurlers 2025
The team that wanted it more, won. Congratulations to Dublin.
They won every ruck, tactically destroyed us with their running game and hit a heap of wides, so in truth could have won by more on a day when we were extremely flat.
Our lads owe us nothing and inspired the county. All we can do is ...

Re: Underage Hurling and Football 2025
Not going to criticise young fellas who are trying their best, but surely alarm bells must be going off between the u20 football defeat to Westmeath and the minor hurling defeat to Laois today.

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025
I'd expect a large crowd in OCP next weekend and I think we will.
These players deserve it and we know we can get a huge following as seen at underage the last few years.
Galway are probably as vulnerable now as their ever been so we are within a fantastic chance of causing an upset if we go ...

Re: Offaly Senior Hurlers 2025
So much to be proud of in Parnell Park this evening, the lads gave it absolutely everything. It was a massive learning curve for the team - a hostile atmosphere, last year's Leinster finalists, a young offaly team playing a game at this level for the first time (for the most part)...and we nearly ...
